Surprisingly but Baltec didn't mention Megarhron...

. . . . and he didn't mention my Tengu.

For the missions Stoic posted, my Tengu beat the Mach in almost every one!

I did post those results.

Even after the nerf on the ROF on rails, I stll could turn in better times.

Tengu got nerfed since then and its in line for more nerfs.

Basically this fit is pretty similar in stats of your Tengu but possibly could outperform and squeeze a few seconds from Tengu's time.

This, you not going to beat a mach at blitzing low level missions. With 800mm ac's everything is in range as you can kill stuff out to over 60km. warp in, if no gates align out, shoot only what you need to and warp out. Fit a t2 small tractor so you can grab the mission loot if it is needed and start aligning out. Split your guns so you don't waste cycles, I go 2, 2 3.

... What next ??

A lot of time has passed since I runned L3s but do they allow BSes to use the gates (if he missions has gates)?

Yes they allow battleships.

With the respective skill at 5 the t3 Destroyers are very efficient at blitzing lvl3s at a fraction of the price and easily used in low sec areas to provide similar LP rewards to lvl 4 missions

But I did! Haven't you been paying attention.

The idea that Stoic started was to blitzL3missionsasfastaspossible. He did it for "giggles and laughs".

The Tengu with the 3 tracking computers (as used by Stoic) with optimal range script has a fall-off range within 79km, and optimal range within 50km. That's plenty for almost all the L3 missions. The missions that were blitzed are just about the easiest L3s there is.

Yes, the Mach can one-shot almost all the targets. The 250's on the Tengu cycle at 3.1s, and with 670dps, everything goes down fast.

The trade-off in the comparison was that the Mach might complete the shooting of required targets a few seconds faster than the Tengu, but the Tengu at 9.32AU/s was getting there a few seconds quicker. Most of the Tengu's overall times were faster.

As I have said before, my Tengu beat almost all of Stoic's times on his spread sheet.

I'd like to take a stop watch to all the L3 missions that I do with the Tengu, and put them up against anyone, and anything.

I'm not really hearing anything from anyone on the times they could do these missions in. Has anyone actually tried? Maybe tried and failed? Stoic has laid down the ground rules if anyone wants to add their two cents.

too much effort imo. I'd spend more time updating spreadsheets and playing with the stopwatch than playing eve. probably best to just compare isk and LP/hour or something.

I totally agree with you.

The point of all this was that if Stoics Mach could generate 90M+/hr, by blitzing L3s, then all anyone had to do to earn that amount of isk and LPs, was to do comparable times or beat his times.

Loki does well, as does tengu. Legion is better than proteus for most l3 blitzing.
If you are willing to shell out, a DC2 tanked, max gank AC mach does wonders, but is paper thin if you don't know exactly what is a trigger for what.

Talking more,

Flying crazier,

And drinking more

Making battleships worth the warp

Unfortunatelly neither Loki nor Legion have subs to increase warp speed. Both Tengu and Proteus have them, and beat a Mach in thit regard. So basically Warp speed with mach loki and legion would be the same 5.22 with 3x HVO tech 2. But Mach got superrior weapon vs t3. That is why only Tengu and Proteus been added to Mach as the best competitors.

For a ship requiring lower skill requirements, like most people that are doing L3 missions, a hurricane (650 arty) can complete them pretty quickly, and the fleet issue is a little better with the extra utility high so you can fit 2 RLML's. For L3's you can fit warp speed rigs as tank is seldom a problem. I have also completed most of the L4 missions in a hurricane as well although in that case it takes some skill and can get dicey at times.
