As an aside, I say that the Christmas spike in mineral prices is yet another indication that CCP continues to deal well with any sort of botting that produces minerals. In the past, we didn't see such spikes because the bots were able to keep up with the drop in miner activity.

I would attribute it to the demand side of things (and maybe drone nerf, no idea how big a difference that made)

Some other factors:

- around Christmas vacations less players are online therefore there's less liquidity (like in RL markets). This makes prices spikier.

- there are less players than the last year, this further amplifies the drop in liquidity.

- those new ships indeed require minerals yet the recent patch probably broke the bots which otherwise would scale up the production.

Ok, seeing as you people cant see the tree's for the woods, lets take a quick overlook of a few ships, the same class ships i mentioned in my OP.

GREAT WALL OF TEXT

So... what was this "storm"? I see something about ships going up a little in price after an expansion. That's not even rain in my book.

Do you know that feeling when another guy drops his load on your face while you watch him with those big round eyes full of anticipation?

no? well, now you do!

I unloaded the rest of my mex and BSes (people saw minerals rise but totally ignored ships that were trading 10 mil below repro value). Hoped it would reach 60-70 like someone else mentioned in this thread, but im a coward when it comes to pump&dump.

I wasnt the one who started it, Im not even sure if it ended. I only had ~500mil units of mex and <100 BSes (bought with pre crucible prices). Looking at other regions someone had 3-4Bil units of mex, kudos to them.

This is why I don't watch the "History" Channel. Or, as many like to call it, the 'Nostradamus Channel.'

I totally would have claimed I put billions in 425mm prototype I gauss cannons. They're up what 400 - 500% now? Learn to troll OP.
