[PROPOSAL] Alliance Decorations

My proposal is a simple one. Expand the decorations systemso that the Executor of an Alliance can award a member who has done something excellent a decoration from the Alliance.

Futhermore, I think that all decorations awarded should be placed in a display case, and placed on the wall of the CQ of the pilot if they have their decorations set to public.

when CQ goes live, I want a lock picking skill so I can break into others' quarters and steal their decorations.

I'm pretty sure with the technology present (with the exception of the Minmatar), it would take more than a simple set of lock picks to break into one of the other rooms. Just sayin'.

Many Alliances carry out frequent operations, in in said operations, ther are always those single individuals that do something that stands out from the rest. I believe that the Executor of an Alliance should be able to personally reward these individuals for their actions rather than just telling their CEO that they deserve a medal, and then never have them get recognition.

So with my proposal, I want it so that the Executor can award individual members for their actions. It would be a simple implementation, and would stop the "Join my corp so I can give you a medal" line of thinking that is currently in existence.

Personally I am planning to steal their pants.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Well, all joking aside about pant stealing, this is a legitimate idea that would nice to see in game. Here some things to see in the winter expansion regarding Medals.

- Alliance Executor can create medals that they can award to individuals within the alliance, all the individuals within a particular corp that's in the Alliance or to the corp itself, where it would be the CEO's decision to display publicly or not.
- A chunk of the holo-tv thing that also displays medals that are publicly displayed.
- The fees to create/award said awards comes from alliance funds.
- More options for Alliance Medals so they can be distinguished from Corp medals.

I didn't even think of just the possibility of awarding a medal to a Corp as a whole. That is a good idea Angry.

It would be easy/ convenient for the executor to reward medals to entire corps when there are major alliance ops going and this would allow a standardized medal for a campaign, would be a very nice and not too complicated touch to add in :)

And to take this whole thing one step further, for certain decorations (which would be awarded more than once to a pilot based on certain actions, time in service, et cetera), the addition of devices that would display on the banner of the medal (such as a star or oak leaf cluster would be a nice touch as well.

Personally not bothered, otherwise, knock yourself out. Isk is likley a better motivator. And any "achievements" likley shadowed by an objective kill board or other relevant stat.
