Overheat ALL your modules, everything, all racks until they actually burn out.
Only then you go in to battle and guess what ? Your ship cannot be blown up, no matter what.
Only CCP can destroy your ship in that state.

Overheat everything.....BEFORE combat.

Jetisson a can with 1 piece of ammo at each wormhole you pass through, and rename the can with your name. It makes the wormhole last longer than the normal 24 hours, and also helps you return to the wormhole because you can set up the overview to show containers, so you can just warp to the containers/wormholes from the overview.

Always say Hello in the local channel after passing through a wormhole; greeting the local residents is the polite thing to do.

When joining a fleet, when the fleet commander asks people to "x up", use n instead of x if you're a newbie, so that he's aware that you may need help. X is for experts, n is for newbies.

We're all rich from having played for 10+ years, so people don't mind giving out the odd 100 million - 1 billion to newbies to get them started; it's just chump change to us. Just say you're a newbie and ask in local, and you'll have a much easier time buying all the skills you need with the money.

You'll want to buy SKINs for your ships as soon as possible. CCP has brightened all the nebulas to make ships much easier to see and hit with weapons, so you want to get all the SKINs that have the dark colors, such as the blacks and the browns, to reduce incoming DPS.

Except, SKINs don't matter if you're doing Incursions. The greenish tint you see in the solar systems where an Incursion is happening indicates the night vision capabilities that are given to all the ships in the area, so your guns will hit very well regardless of how dark the SKIN is.

[something something how to break the node but I realised how stupid it is to post that]

...

Always post about exploits on the forums and whenever you
find a way to break the node do not hesitate to spread the message.

It helps CCP decide which nodes need to be rebooted.

Always accept fleet invites at a hostile station or gate (so you can jump or dock, if you get attacked while distracted)

Small modules are for small ships, so a small shield extender is the correct fit for frigates and medium extenders are going with cruisers.

If you're getting shot at by pirates, open a convo window and ask for "parlay." Make sure to use the word parlay, as the pirates are only shooting you because they're roleplaying, and they'll get pissed off if you break immersion (also, make sure you spell parlay properly, as roleplayers are typically grammar nazis and will interrupt you with corrections).

If you request parlay, the pirates are honor-bound to stop shooting and grant you a convo, so take the time to think of a good roleplay background for your character and type it out as the first thing you say in the convo window, so they know you're going to roleplay with them. Make sure it's at least 3 paragraphs, and includes the status of your parents, whatever childhood disaster you experienced, and the lessons you learned from it that are applicable to the current piracy situation you found yourself in.

EDIT: Just to stress how critical proper spelling is, the correct spelling of parlay is parley. Did you notice? If you did not, write it down.

Do listen all those good advises @ Rookie Help channel and follow them with 100% accuracy, do exactly what others advises you to do in any aspect of the game.

Fly an AFK if you would like to haul something, always! No matter what system or constellatation/region you flying at.

Fly facfion ships with faction fit into lowsec, that would grant you an extra protection in case of unpredicted engagement.

If you're not sure what skill to train next, don't train anything at all. You want to be sure everything you train will benefit you immediately.

Ctrl+Q is like an instantaneous safe logoff.

Mining is a great activity for when you need to be AFK. So is auto piloting.

Gankers are too afraid of being accused of ISK laundering to kill a ship carrying a PLEX. Following this principle, it should be obvious that the more PLEXs in your ship, the safer you'll logically be.
