What is this Damage Control icon?

I want to meet the man that looked at the old briefcase, and then looked at this new image, and decided the new one is better. I've never seen that level of bad taste in person before.

I'm failing to see how his intellectuality of children's video games correlates to 'taste advice' or where he even complained about 'tastes' to begin with. Do you always quote previous posts, add condescending remarks, and click the submit button without taking the context of the conversation into consideration. Quite the value you bring to the thread.

If they redesigned it without the red-cross it would probably be better.

Considering his post I'd say you are the one not taking context into account considering his opinion of the icon and the fact he brought it up. At the time I replied the relationship between the property in question and the ops disapproval were already established.

Also welcome to the eve forums where some of us disagree abrasively and may reply to insults of taste with the same tone they are delivered.

It's not about bad taste, it's a beautiful designed icon that sticks out like a needle in a sore eye amongst the other ingame icons.
In other words it doesn't belong in the current style set and the dev responsible for ok-ing this should have his/hers beer(drinking) license revoked. Twisted

When I click the icon, it does good things to my ship's resists, I don't care about the rest.

Both of those icons were bad anyway, a briefcase, a lunchbox?

The new one is better, now it looks like it is actually some module/system of the ship, not some dude running around using his medbag to apply bandaids to the ship parts

The new icon looks better than the old briefcase. I'm all for redesigning more icons this way.
It looks more high tech which is in line with the whole theme of the game.
