Several additional notes (all positive): Performance seems to be slightly better running three clients, the two additional clients didn't need to be "re-cloned" (I'd used one of the last variations of Clonemaker when I re-made them yesterday prior to the Mosaic release) and the launcher for the main client now remembers my username again. I'm running with music again (fingers crossed!)

Update: 4 hours and smooth sailing, all three clients stable! And music! I'm actually seeing fairly consistent performance on the order of 60-80 fps for my main client and 35-45 fps for each of the clones. I'm running with OpenGL off for the time being.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I would love to report everything went smoothly with the recent update to Mosaic but unfortunately i am having a new issue.

I have followed the Technical Support Walkthroughs for manually reinstalling the launcher, clearing the client cache, reinstalling EVE entirely and trying to run the provided MacOS repair tool.

This is the error message I receive from the launcher. Please help!

it goes on like that for a while and won't entirely fit in this message post. I have e-mailed Tech Support with no response to the problem, and tried unsuccessfully to post a support ticket, I received a message stating it was unable to create.

I originally got in ok after the Mozi patch, doing the double launcher update and patch but then it froze my other client after quiting out to change characters on the main client. Tried clearing the caches (both) but that not helping, the launcher just won't relaunch the client, it just hangs and dosn't start up the client even after force quitting the other frozen client.

Checked and I do have the correct updated launcher build, although I did use the repair tool on the app to see if that would help but not reinstalled the launcher as it seems to be the new build.

Obviously very impressed with the new Cider pass everything looks much better and I'm getting much better performance but the quiting forces freeze on my other client and only getting the launcher to launch correctly after a restart is a real pain as I'm quite reliant on alt switching.

Finger crossed for a fix or some kind of workaround type thing.

*edit - this seems to have given some life back to the launcher

"Do you have Gatekeeper enabled, and did you upgrade to 10.10? If so, that's probably your issue. Disable Gatekeeper (System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Allow apps downloaded from anywhere). Then launch EVE. Then go back to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and Allow apps downloaded from the App Store and other identified developers. If I'm right, that should fix your issue."

So, both the new icon and the tickbox are being left in intentionally. In the Icon's case, to differentiate it from the old map; In the tickbox case, to allow people to opt out if they do not like it - It will be enabled by default from tomorrow.

OK. I sort of thought you would have removed the B form the new map icon. Then, in the esc menu, move the map check box from "experimental features" to just a setting. Checking that setting makes the neocom map button activate the old map, and the default would be un-checked. That way we would only have one map button, and it would activate whichever map you have selected in the esc menu.

I‘ve got the same problem. For several patches now. I was never able to use the new map.

I'm still seeing this issue as well. Oddly closing and reopening the map doesn't seem to resolve the issue as it's reloaded. Old map still seems to work as it should though.

Early this morning the game worked for about 10 min then crashes, did that for 4 or 6 times. I cleared the cash as you mentioned above, now when I open the Launcher it crashes and will not let me go into settings again. This is the first time an update does this with my computer. I have a Mac and using Launcher V.2.2.878305

Also experiencing this issue rebooting the computer fixes it, although I would hate to have to restart every time I want to start Eve.

So i wasn't having any issues since i started playing Eve again last week. i am unaware of most of the what sounds like common issues with Mac's, I did not have any issues until this update.

Everything downloaded just fine and now it goes to a black screen and the flashes and goes back to the launcher. tried the cloning thing manually didn't change anything. tried to download the Eve CloneMaker and it won't start says its damaged and move it to trash. finally got into the package and opened it straight to the black screen and then it flashes to a white blank window for eve and gives me this dialogue box

Program: C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe

Abnormal Program Termination


Any one have any ideas i should try next?


Edit:
Going to try downloading the whole client again since it appears to be a different version than last week and see if that changes anything.

Update: Got the Eve CloneMaker to work still waiting on the client to download.

Update: Ok no idea what i did but now it is working again no issues so far. Found out you can hide the opportunities thing under settings hide all three and it goes away.

Update: new download and now new error buffer overrun....

I think it is a big joke from CCP in the 21st century! I think it is an IT nonsense... day by day I have to reinstall my Mac Launcher manually that if I want to play a computer game. I really getting bored, that I have to find all of issues because you can't create a correct launcher, what is working proper, and updating proper... seems 16k gamer online... how coming every issues to my computer after every patch? While everybody playing happy I trying fixing the Launcher and the game.... It is ridiculous. I reinstall my everything on my computer, and the launcher still grey and doesn't working. If I try to find the new version, the eve gate or zendesk, the website working crazy... just updating the site every sec. unusable....Probably I'll give up that game after 4 years....

First, let me say that this update has been relatively smooth compared to many of the recent ones. Looks like the new Cider is working quite well. I've been able to turn my sound back ON without the client crashing every 5-30 minutes (in fact, it's been running well for about 8 hours straight now. YAY!)

There have been a few in-game issues, however, as many previous (and no doubt later) posts have indicated:

All cloaks (gate, covert ops, etc) make my ships disappear entirely: Cloak Bug

The "Opportunities" spam cannot be turned off or opted out of.

Map is TERRIBLY overcrowded and impossible to use for probe scanning anything down.


That's it for now. I'll update if more turns up but for now, I'm quite happy that our beloved game is running well with Yosemite so far :)

Any cloaking of ships. completely removes them from view, giving you no indication of alignment.

## The Good:

- OMG Sound! So nice to have audio working reliably without Soundflower and custom driver hacks.
- Love the new Damage Control Icon.
- No patch problems.
- New sensor overlay adjustments are much improved.


## The Bad:

- Uh, wheres my ship? Gate and module cloaks _completely_ hide all ships i've tried. This is very disorienting. OS X 10.9.5 - GT 750M
- Really miss Anti-Aliasing.
- Weird rendering going on in fitting window ship previews. Many items are rendering in front of foreground objects. I noticed this same issue while checking out the SKINS dev blog post and dismissed it as some odd webGL bug, but its def happening both in Chrome and in game.


**UPDATE**
The way-too-cloaky cloak effect only happens when Shader Quality is set to Medium. Changing to Low or High brings it back.

Hi CCP,

quick question, I haven't had any issues with the launcher since its launch (sweet) until today (not so sweet). Mosaic 1.0 now still present, launcher refuses to update to Mosaic 1.1 hence game remains in "greyed out PLAY button" state.
Coincidentally, today just before downtime I used the unsupported EVE Clonemaker for the first time (possibly related?), created 2 clones, both launched and worked smoothly.
After creation of the first clone the original EVE already would not launch from the launcher anymore (push on orange PLAY would grey it out and then nothing, is this normal?) hence I created a second clone and all went well until downtime. As the clones were working I did not worry about the launcher not starting till downtime. Any hints?

update: dowloaded the new 500MB client, launcher now patching. i will make a backup of the HDD before the next Eve Clonemaker run.
