Hi,

I have been out of the game for over 4 years now. Started back in 2006 and can fly just about anything and have supporting skills.

However, there have been loads of changes in the last few years and I want to dip my feet back in the water by running a bunch of Level 4's, but I want to do them quickly without needing to be glued to my screen the whole time (comp is a bit slow). Money is not a big issue.

Hoping someone can suggest the best ship I should use for this purpose.

Thanks in advance

rattle mach marauders (tengu but its probably worse then other 3 )

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

Add Gila to that list. You won't have to sit there and micromanage your MWD for faster warping.

Golem Marauder.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

for a single ship I might take a golem. Personally I always have 2-3 ships in station for different missions, and prefer turrets. Paladin and Machariel are my two main ships. Paladin is super relaxing to fly and has insane damage projection. Golem is pretty similar but has a few features I find annoying, with bastion it is better than it used to be, but I have maxed turret skills. The Mach can be a bit more involved to fly, but I tend to only use it when speed is the important factor. Warp in gank a few targets with 1400s and sentries and then gtfo.

Guristas are annoying to fight, but most of their missions are blitzable so I don't mind using an off damage type (as long as base DPS is high). Or using a mach which has decent choice in damage types and has the mobility it works pretty well, but doesn't have the sustained tank of some other options. Beyond guristas most of the NPCs in caldari missions are very vulnerable to the mach and/or paladin. You might want a Kronos which I find to be rather useful in a bunch of missions. MJD + MWD and void makes for lots of dead rats, and Null has decent projection. Plus you can carry a mobile depot and switch to rails if you need to.

Rattlesnake is a gank monster, but has all the downsides of missiles and drones, and it is slow.

Nightmare is a decent alternative to the paladin.

also check out the burner missions, I assume you have the skills for them. although might want to skip if your comp is a bit laggy. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=369477

Thanks everyone for the replies,

Good food for thought.

I went out and bought a rattlesnake, but having read Chainsaw's post about the paladin, I might give that a go (relaxing is always good :))

Gila, is a freaking monster in lvl4's. I have flown from drake ( yes back then ) to raven to cnr to rattle... and i tried a gila last night. Was actually quite fun. not the "fastest" but was actually fun.
