since the update i've been seeing drifter BS in systems without jove structures or wormholes.

now after trying to shoot them i've found they just warp off and don't shoot back.

so has something happened to our new drifter overlords?

Sounds like they're acting like (carebear) players. Try warp disrupting them?

Maybe because they now contain valuable loot. Blink

I'm my own NPC alt.

Edit: And, came to think about it, i did see the roaming behavior outside of Jove Observatory system on SISI, when
i was on SISI yesterday.

I sincerely doubt they'll change their whole storyline just for the whiners....

That'd go way too far.
There must be something else.

I remember watching a video, with someone from CCP saying that they'd wanted to implement npc's that weren't static?

Like as in they'd be doing some weird crazy stuff on their OWN accord...

Thus creating content without intervention from CCP. That'd be amazing if they'd been making these far strides of A.I programming.

Can't say for sure, don't remember the video, and it could always be just speculation.

Would be neat though.

It's the other way, before some weeks ago you could escape the DD-gun. Not so much after they changed the behavior of Drifters. If you take out the overshield they point you even if you're at grid end and then DD you.

What I want to know is when/how did you get a look at the drifter's starnge?

Oh, great. Self-aware Drifters. The most enigmatic and dangerous NPCs in the most unforgiving online game ever can now think for themselves.

Just what the world needs, right? This couldn't possibly result in a Skynet scenario. Lol

Fedo. Fedo? Fedo!
