Hi!

In light of the possible next PLEX4GOOD run ...
... I wanted to ask if people would be up for it again.

My char isn't worth selling this time ...
... so I will go this route and donate whatever I can get.

I can't find Psychotic Monk's blog anymore ...
... not sure it's still up ...
... but as it was the selling of my old char that inspired him to do it ...
... I thought it's fitting that I ask if anyone would be willing to help out.

Forgive me, I am currently not in good health and posting a bit out of my mind.

My intentions though are good
and I know there are a lot of good people around here.

So in case anyone is willing to go on a ganking spree to collect money ...
... I'd like you to mention it here.

Seriously... a friend of mine was down there and when I read she was
hiding under a ******* table from the ******* earthquake and how she
had to be pulled out and could have died ..... **** ... **** **** **** **** **** ........

That makes me cry.... No kidding....

Are you referring to the Nepal earthquake? Sorry, like you said, you were ill and the post isn't all that coherent.

If that is what you mean, how does ganking help us to raise funds?

(no idea if you know him)

They streamed themselves ganking,
turned loot into ISK to donate and people who watched the stream donated as well.

I think they gathered around 100 billion ISK, which is great!

I can't find his blog anymore else I'd link it. :/

Are you meaning that CCP took the 100 billion ISK these players gathered and then made a real-world donation to help victims of a disaster?

I'm sorry, I've only just returned from a long hiatus a few months ago, but if there is actual aid somehow getting to the victims of the tragedy, then I'd be on board. Just not computing how ISK = aid for victims. Please forgive.

Yes, people donate ISK (or turn it into PLEX and donate that actually) ...
... and that money goes to whoever CCP gives it.

Last time was end of 2013, for Red Cross/Philippines.

I sold my char for that. It brought 40 billion ISK (after being doubled by the honourary
Amarr Citizen 150). Monk took my engagement as incentive to start Suicideganking4Good,
which itself made another 100 billion ISK.


Hope that made clear where I am coming from.

I believe I still have the original in game channel. I will follow up :D As Belligerent Undesirables coms have gone down I would be happy to allow the use of one of mine. As well as logistics and staging.

I've been discussing something along these lines with a few people.

I have a well known third party who is willing to act as an intermediary in ransoms, subject to the condition that 100% of ransom ISK secured goes toward the PLEX for Good appeal, and that ransoms are honored.

I'll make an announcement if I can pull it off.

I haven't finalised discussions with the third party so will not name them, but they are someone I personally would be willing to trust with ten billion and I expect that once they are named most EVE players would agree. They are not Chribba or one of the usual supercapital third parties but are a widely respected player with trillions in assets that is broadly neutral with respect to 0.0 politics and highsec conflicts alike.

They will have a security deposit from me of a few billion ISK that will be unsecured; if they wanted to do a dirty stealing that deposit would be sensible and only I'd lose out.

I would act as a 3rd party if needed. Pilots pay me to steal, how is that not trust.
I also believe it is bannable to steal a donatioon?

Don ... I never said I would FC anyone.
People can do that better in the groups they are in.

All I wanted is to be sure some people do it.
Considering the lack of participation in this thread,
I am sure people have no interest in flying with me anyway.

It's what I expected and I don't care,
as long people do something.

Besides do most need voice for some reason, which is silly and I don't do.
I refuse to play a boring style too, but it's really irrelevant.
