Fozzie, did you guys ever explain the need for the 180 some sentry turrets in that massive cube? Was it intended to tax our PC's more for no apparent reason, or what, because they were initially warp-able as to allow us easier travel of the near 200k between the Talosi. But then apparently you guys learnt that we we were doing that and disabled it, forcing us not only to jump half a dozen jumps just to get to the mission, but then driving 180k three times per mission...

There were A LOT of questions in that thread that got ignored for the dribble type ones that had already been answered several times....

The sentry guns act as a sort of minefield, activating if you get within 10km of them. Their purpose in the mission is to provide some light piloting challenge as you must avoid them as you fight the NPCs. Avoiding them is quite easy for anyone who knows how to manually pilot but it still adds an extra layer to the mission.

Okay, nowhere did i say they added any difficulty, since they generally don't do squat to you since you are moving max speed to cover the 180k...3...separate...times...plus their dmg is almost nothing in the one/two that might be shooting you at any point in time compared to the Talos' dmg. (NOT asking for that to be up'ed). Nice deflection answer there sir, +10 points. So far i've never felt the need to avoid them, as the more of a weaving line i take, the longer it will take for me to reach each rat, and that already takes an absurd amount of time.

The sentries de-aggressing early is a bug and we're working on a solution.

Just a minor thing;
Can we please get a dialog box for confirmation if we really want to activate a skin? The problem is, the selection "add to market quickbar" is too close to comfort and can easily be misclicked. Or rather, the other way round. You want to add it to market quickbar, but you inject it accidentally without a warning.

It might be less important if you plan to have us "remove" skin licenses back as an item to re-sell, just like clothing works, but right now as it is permanent, it can be a bit ... well... unfortunate. We don't want to flood the ticket system c:

Thanks!

I'll pass your feedback along to the team working on the skins, but if you can also please post that feedback in the skin thread (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=419959&find=unread) it would help keep the feedback easy to find for them.

I thought this would belong here since it is part of the patch since the other topic is a bit, well, "dated" by now. *copies a pasta*

So from the blog and what I have seen in game.

You merged 2 tables into 1 with your state of the art tri-state-check box. So now the 'grantables roles' and 'roles' which are functionaly identical can still be distinguished (for what reason?) as to wether you granted the role or gave the guy a title that granted the role. Now it's on one table instead of 2. This is BIG.... REALLY BIG.

In the process you removed titles from the show info view of all characters. I can only presume this was to prevent a casual opponent from divining some form of corperate intel from a players titles because (again a presumption) I am perhaps too stupid to seperatate a title from the roles (or I guess in this case the completely different 'grantable roles'). I presume it is somehow strategically important to know that a pilot has the role of accountant or what not? Now I can't show info and see which one of my guys is a rodeo clown and which is a lunch lady. Thanks for removing this massive security risk from the show info panel on my guys.

What you haven't changed: There are basically 4 levels of corp security and they are pilot based instead of asset based.

Fozzie - This isn't the first time you've passed off absolutely nothing as work and strutted around looking for a pat on the back.

If I'm wrong, please list what functionality you have actually altered in regards to roles, titles and actual security.

(Fozzie takes the stage and points to a large flip chart with an impressive sparkling pointer thing.) "You folks see this right here? It's what the tech guys are describing as a TRI-STATE-CHECK-BOX. Say it with me TRI..... STATE..... CHECK..... BOX. You see back in the old days, a check box is what we refer to as a bistable. It could either be empty or checked.... only 2 options. This on the other hand we'll call a tristable. It can be empty, checked or slashed. You guys are welcome! Our R&D team is working on a quantum leap into the future. I'm only at liberty to mention there may be at some point in the future a quad-state-check-box. The only other details I'm at liberty to mention about this miraculous leap into the future is that in addition to the empty/slash/check of current times - we'll be adding in an additional super secret icon that will allow a 4th option for the box. We've moved from the second dimension into the third dimension and are looking to the fourth dimension in table making. It's what I consider MINDBLOWING."
