I just dicovered this announcement: http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/required-launcher-update-please-update-your-eve-online-launcher

So, I have followed the simple instructions and the simple result was it did nothing and they tell me I will have to reinstall EVE if the something that should of happened doesn't.

Is there something else that can be done besides following the simple instructions that simply don't work?

ps. I've been getting a pre-release launcher pop-up for a week or so.

Should have*

Also ... is TQ up yet?

If no .... wait.

If you're still getting the "pre-release version" bug, you may need to delete the launcher from your EVE installation, then run the repair tool.

Who put the goat in there?

I was having this problem and then usually clicking OK would still get me to log in.

A 2nd install decided not to co-operate tho since yesterday. Straight

I found this link : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5693411#post5693411

Which fixed the problem on that client so it would then load and update to the newer Launcher version ok.
It's a Dev post so should be pretty reliable Big smile

I tried that with no joy.

Running the "repair tool" is so near to reinstalling eve you may as well just not run the repair tool and reinstall eve, it wiped 7 gig of cache data the last time I did it and I refuse to pay for 7 gig of data that is messed up of no fault of my own.

My version is also 2.2.878305 and I think that's the new version due to the Mosaic patch today

Just followed the instructions on this link, launcher is updated to v.2.2.878305 and I don't get the pre-release popup any more, the downside is my overview and UI settings are stuffed up.

It's like going to the mechanic because your door doesn't latch and your car comes back a different colour and the steering wheel has been swapped to the other side, but the door latches as it should. Close enough.

This fixed my launcher. Thanks.

This would seem to be correct I had 878019 yesterday after updating the launcher, today it is now, 878305 after updating to mosaic.

My launcher is the correct version yet the PLAY button remains greyed out and nothing is happening. Any thoughts?

Try moving your resource cache folder to another location in your launcher settings. Click "browse" and pick another folder somewhere. Worked for me.
