Your supposed to see it on Reddit, duh. Why would they ever think to use their own official servers for official information...silly person trying to understand CCP with logic...

Also, my launcher is now a black black box with "vip mode" and grey bar at the bottom...no log-in boxes

It hasn't been mentioned here.

Use twitter and you'll be fine. Twitter will still work in situations where even the forums go down, like in a major DDoS, etc.

its not a case of been fine. Im on it anyway so no big deal to me, but why should those without it have to put up with no notification on the official outlet?
