I play on ASUS A4F series and got same issue after last patch

tryed now in SISI but got same issue, my video driver stop response.

My proc is Core I5 First generation 460M

My windows is Seven 64 bits.

I test in Latitude E4300 Seven 32 bits and Wirk nice....Maybe a problem with Seven 64?

Someone gotthe same problem with 32 bits?

Just out of curiosity has anyone with the current issue tries running eve in compatibility mode? With say xp or something? I will attempt it when I get home. But in the meantime...

Also thanks for the links to the crucible 1.0 installer I will see what I can do with logserver running to make a comparison. I'm prolly shooting in the dark here but I'm on break from my job and grad school work (writing my thesis on online gaming) so I'm trying to fix the problem as I like to keep busy. Anyway keep up the dialogue.

The majority of reported issues are all on INTEL HD Integrated graphics chips so that is where we are focusing our research. I will find your GPU model in the test lab later today and run some tests on it but this issue isn’t an easy one to reproduce.

Also, I can tell you how to reproduce it, go buy a Dell n5010, I've tried it on my girlfriend's n5010, same exact problem. lmao

My laptop is the Dell n7010 with the I5 and the Intel HD Graphics, So maybe its an issue with Dell in this series with the Intel i3-i7 chip sets?

Hmm yeah that is interesting that the problem only seems to be on Windows 7 with 64Bit. If i had the oppertunity to run XP on here i would to test it but i dont got the XP CD's to do it.

Welp, I have a Toshiba and I have the same issue, so it's nothing to do with Dell. Anyway, I tried running Eve in compatibility mode, no change either. :-( The window's 7 64 may have some relevance, but at the moment I can't think of a way to test it.

Well, I was able to launch Crucible 1.0 and as I predicted NO SCREEN FLICKER!!!! Obviously I can't get beyond the login screen, but yes, there is a version that at least launches without the screen flicker... now if we can only figure out what is causing it...

When I ran troubleshooting on my computer, It listed a possible problem with transparency displays and Eve. Is there a possibility that some coding was changed after Crucible 1.0 pertaining to transparency images?

Can you run logserver from both builds and do a diff on the output. Could be interesting.

It was already stated that the info within the log server was no help in identifying the problem.

If you want to send me a private eve mail with a real life e-mail address I will gladly forward you live server reports from both versions where all I do is get to the login screen then turn off the game, I did some comparison myself, nothing popped up out of the ordinary, even the whole error with hrigular.dds (or whatever it was called) showed up in 1.0.0, so as the dev said it wasn't the problem. I am curious about MJ Incognito's idea about the Transparency Displays, because I do beleive there was some stuff about that when they changed the UI in 1.0.2. However, here is my disclaimer, it is entirely possible I have no clue what I'm talking about.

Subscription cancelled.

Not paying for something I can't play (once my sub runs out). Was nice for about 2 weeks...Crucible 1.0.0 and 1.0.1. Since 1.0.2 I spend more time checking this forum than in the game. Almost 10 days with no fix and several days without any updates as to where they are with a fix. It really sucks because I cancelled sub to another game to have more time to play EVE.

Hope they fix it for you soon.

Well, as for my subscription, it really depends on if A) the issue gets fixed or B) if the devs keep us updated on progress. So I'll make that decision, the game is PLAYABLE with all the graphics settings turned down (still gets flicker, but it's quicker and I dont get permalock... at least so far... Anyway, I do want to see what they come up with after the holidays.

Game is playable in empire. Leave empire and run into a gate camp or a warp bubble, and your client crashes, either your ship warps off and sits in space waiting to be scanned down for like 30 minutes, or you log back in as fast as possible, and warp back to your previous location and wait to die.

Welp quick update, I do indeed get black screen of death, so like I said, I want to see what the devs say after Christmas (hopefully they will have something). But yeah, being only in highsec is boring.

Like I said, we're a minority. It's a minor problem, don't expect it to be a priority. Clearly the fact that they had no problem breaking it again after fixing it shows their attitude toward the issue. If fixing this problem means removing an "improvement" it won't happen as there isn't a big enough group of people having the issue.

Hi all, I just wanted to give you all an update. We haven’t been able to reproduce the issue in-house but we're looking at purchasing some new hardware to assist with this investigation.

We're also involving INTEL as the 'reset' is happening in the device driver and not the game client, if the game crashed then we would have crash dumps that would help us pin point the issue but because it's a driver reset no crash dump is generated.

Great to hear! Quick question:, You mentioned the crash dump files, would they be useful to you guys and is there a way we could submit those? If so, where would I find them?
