Can I entosis an inactive pos?

Dead corporation player owned starbases? Maybe 2 months of an inactive tower? Its hard to balance this part out but if done so, they switch to Interbus owned and can be claimed by an entosis module.

I'm not particularly sure, The dev blog wasn't specific on whether or not The entices link is going to wait for the new structures or apply to the current POS System. I'll have to read through it again.

get a few friends in BSes with sentries and watch a movie together... i hear they have cool tools for synched movie watching and you can talk smack on comms...

Do keep an eye on sentry distances as they move at around 1m/s and will drift into the shields if you're at 0 on the tower...

I once had a really weird posbashing op in a wormhole we were evicting... The tower refused to shoot us and we werent sure if the configuration was crap or if this was some really odd ambush login trap type thing...

If the corp that owns the tower is no longer in existence you can petition CCP to have the tower removed. Otherwise you war-dec the entity and shoot the tower like anyone else, whether it's been inactive or not.

Also in the long run this is moot since POSes are (eventually) going away and the new structures aren't going to be limited to being anchored at moons.

Except if you have a POS in existence before the changes CCP will either:

A) allow it to function as it does now
B) Grandfather it into the new system.

There are thousands and thousands of Poses in EVE, the changes will not in anyway remove their capacity to function as they do now (99.999999999999999999999999999% sure other wise CCP would be making a huge, colossal, mega ******* blunder).

Check out the Dev Blog. POSes are sticking around during the transition phase but they're eventually going to be removed and their value reimbursed in some way. Whether or not they're swapping them over to an Entosis based capture/destruction system is unknown but given that they haven't said anything about it seems unlikely to happen (it would make a lot of POS mods useless, change up fitting balance on POSes, ect)

When they remove the restriction of being limited to anchoring at a moon, every POS that was just anchored there to take up the space will be rendered pointless.

IMO if the owner is to lazy to scoop them back up then they also wont care if someone does it for them, so I would be all for entosis links allowing someone else to unahchor dead sticks.

(Granted Only offline towers, as being able to **** around with a online tower would be bordering on broken)

no, if onyl because IMO in ANY scenario, destruction should be easier than capture, but disincentived by cost/labor/time, if only so markets still exist for things because not every fight ends with 0 base infrastructure lost

There's no indication that they're removing the restriction on anchoring POSes at a Moon. The new structures just won't (necessarily) have that restriction.

Entosis Links will destroy structures, it'll only flip/capture some types. The POS equivalents don't appear to fall under this category.
