I built a service that does the evemail-to-email forwarding and notification-to-email forwarding part of this for free (www.eve-core.net). Doesn't do the SMS though.

Just saying.

After Months of testing, I will be deploying the production version today.. I'll update with a full list of changes soon.

This would be a good time to mention that Email only forwarding is now free of charge, but SMS forwarding will still use the credit system. =)

11.23.2011 Version 1.1.0 Deployed

  • Production Code Deployed
  • Email Forwarding is now FREE of charge. SMS forwarding will still require credits
  • Initial Credits given has been reduced to 10. You must still have a positive credit balance in order for your account to be considered active.
  • Several ToolTips have been added to account interface to explain the per account/character settings.
  • Login Sessions have been extended =)
  • If your API key is disabled due to errors, you can now re-enable the key via your account settings
  • Corporations can now set members as admins to help moderate sponsorships
  • Corporations will not incur charges for email forwards for normal mails.
  • Corporations can now send an Emergency Action Messages(EAM) to all members

Oh what's that?

SMS now goes straight through via our carrier, that means you will be receiving your forwards straight from the EN server via sms/GSM

So how does this change anything?

Well now you will be able to issue commands via your cell to check credit balances and even pause forwards. Also this shoudl technically make A LOT of carriers supported!

I would advise all subscribers to check their account settings to be sure the new system is working and if not already verified, to verify your cell phone to enable SMS forwards.

This opens a lot of doors for future development of services, be sure to stay tuned!

Yea, sorry but SMS costs a bit more to run, but Email forwards are still free.
