Black ops, jumping issues, help please.

I nave a Redeemer and all the skills to fly it. Went out tonight to try some bridge jumping. Mate set up Covert Cyno in next system (both of us in low sec, both fuel full, +95% cap). Made Bridge, jumped to mate No problem. Next time another mate in SB used my bridge to jump, all good.

From then on I kept getting a "External Factors are interfering with your warp drive" message. A lot.

Could make the Bridge but it would not let me jump (still plenty of fuel etc).

Made a couple of more jumps. But failed ten times for everyone I made. Very frustrating.

Am I missing something basic? Gratefull for suggestions.

Here's some stuff I found after 2 mins on Google:


You cannot iniate warp if

a) You are actively being warp scrambled. Icon in overview.
b) You are in a warp supression field (bubble). Only in 0.0.
c) You are inside a deadspace field and attempt to warp to any location inside that deadspace field.

All the above will show the "External factors" message.


Warp will fail if

a) You are "stuck" on an object. The ship will start aligning, but bounce off the object again and again
b) You are actively being bumped. See above.
c) You stop your ship after initiating warp.

Black Ops can jump directly just like any capital: right-click on the cyno character in fleet chat and select "jump to member". You don't need a bridge.

Optionally, the cyno can broadcasted using the fleet window and you can jump to the broadcast, but this is slower (more clicks for everyone) and a covert cyno doesn't last long.

Black Ops only bridge other ships. Never bridge a Black Ops because it takes a lot more fuel than just jumping directly.

Oh, and you can't bridge or jump while cloaked.

you dont need a covert cyno to bridge. ive done it with a regular cyno multiple times.

You cannot jump when your bridge is open, you need to wait for it to go down.
