What does the Code say about AFK ganking?

Did he really nail down their safe by warping over it repeatedly and trying to drop bookmarks when he passed them? I did not know that was possible.

Yes that is possible, Eve works in one second increments, so you warp from point A to point B doing BM's around where they are, because of the one second thing you can land right on them, the trick is to have the same ship type as them, before it was a lot easier...

If you do a quick BM like that as a safe always burn away which is what the ganker did, however he did not get far enough away so the Talos pilot was close enough to be able to burn to them.

I think the Ganker was unaware of this aspect of Eve and paid the price in lost Tornado's.

I knew one person who used to find cans this way and even those where people did more than those simple A to B safes.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I once did this once in the ls off uedama for some war targets when I was in eve uni. It's slow and painful and I suggest against it ever. Combat probes are way too easy to use.

I was going to say, why not just probe him out? Screwing around with bookmarks would just be unnecessarily painful just to kill somebody.

I guess he did not have a combat prober nearby. Really impressive how quickly he pinpointed their safe.

The suicide ganker was obviously not following the Code and justice was served.

You can even track down unprobable stuff like cans this way.

For when you can get access to a scanner fast enough, use probes. For everything else exploit a solid understanding of the games mechanics... Nice.

There was one in the OOP forum where one of my fteetmates put in HIS picture. Just underwear and shoes in the CQ.
