Can't connect to test server. Followed instructions. Copied eve folder, made /server:Singularity shortcut, but when i try to log in, it asks me for character name("Since you haven't logged in from this IP before, please enter the name of one of the characters associated with your account"). When i provide one, it just says incorrect username / password ("Invalid username / password Incorrect character name entered")
Note that i play on Tranq from this same ip since i created the account, so have no idea why would it say i never logged from this IP before

I am having the exact same problem. I log in just fine with my un/pw and then it asks me for my characters name and when I enter it its takes me back to log in menu and says Invalid username / password,
Incorrect character name entered

either it doesnt accept usr/pass
or sends me back to login.

Two things to consider:

  • How old is your account?
  • Have you recently changed password?

As outline on the wiki the database from Tranquility (the production server) is mirrored over to Singularity every few months. It might be that your account isn't active on Sisi just yet. I've spoken with CCP Habakuk on IRC and a db sync is imminent (hoorah!):

So look out for that on the test server forums if your account is only a couple weeks/months old.

If you've recently changed your password, try your old password. If you need to change passwords send CCP Habakuk an EVE-mail with the character that needs to be reactivated.
