[NEWS] Breaking News - Drifter Autopsy Press Conference Interrupted!

Initial Scope reports here and here.

The second is a feed from a live broadcast that was interrupted.

Edit 1; Additionally, a direct link to a full autopsy report prepared by the esteemed (in some cases, despite themselves) Anslo Tetua, Mizhir Starsurge, Kybernetes Moros, and Kalo Askold.

Edit 2; brief summary of events in Yulai. DED staged a press conference with the above-mentioned parties. Multiple Drifter battleships appeared at the CONCORD station at Yulai X, and overrode systems to prevent the broadcast. Subsequently, after some milling about, capsuleer respondents destroyed the four Tyrannos vessels-- who were notably not very aggressive.

We need to double our efforts at finding an effective way to combat the Drifters if they have started taking offensive action.

Previously, I was advocating mere vigilance and preparation, but if they are going to be hostile even when not attacked, we need to similarly actively defend ourselves.

I've been worried about just such an occurrence. I'm calling all my combat pilots from the front and from Anoikis to stand by. Any ally leaders I will be getting in touch with you shortly.

Fellow A'J members are on scene. Looks like capsuleers managed to swarm Drifters. We will monitor the station for a while though.

We are all guilty by association in the eyes of someone. Though, if it bothers you, you could always disassociate yourself with the offending group....

Ha, says the man standing in front of a people's logo. It is great to see that the public has understood the importance of our research. We will continue working on it and hopefully find even more details about them but their technology is still vastly different from ours and it will be a difficult task.

On another note: I'm surprised by the amount of makeup the Scope employee applied to me. I barely look like myself in the video.

They appear very attached to their corpses, Polevhia. Reading the autopsy report, I can certainly understand why.

Indeed. The fact that it took us so long before the first (and still only) corpse was recovered suggests that they definitely don't want us to study them.

Congratulations to Anslo, Starsurge, Moros and Askold for their achievement.

I've made similar offers before, so it would be wrong of me to not offer now; should you require an additional team member to assist in the study of their cybernetics, I think my skills and experience would be of great benefit.

However, I can't help but have this nagging suspicion that you may have just taken us one step closer to an actual confrontation with these beings.

I pray I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about this.

I've read the report and I'm really disapponted! The Drifters are seldomly enhanced cybernetically! Even a Sansha zombie is more enhanced than this...

Still, I'd love to get a sample of Drifter blood... And bone marrow too! It is so hard to integrate nanomachines in the circulatory system and I would love to figure out how they are pulling it off!
