The current "This week in EVE" gives an overview of the week from April 18th to 24th

Dev blogs and announcements
New Assembly Effect for Anchorable Structures - Feedback
With the update on April 28 the anchoring and unanchoring of structures in space will look much better as we will see brand new visual effects! Watch for yourself those new effects in this video.

Ship Customization: Time to Show Some SKIN - Feedback
With Mosaic on April 28 we will see the new SKIN system which brings not only more than 100 new ship skins, but more importantly, a much better system to handle existing skins, and to implement new skins and skin related features. You can play around with SKINs (existing and potentially new) with the WebGL viewer. Check out also the Reddit thread of SKINs and their previews.

EVE Updates and the April 28th Mosaic Update - Feedback
The update "Mosaic" on April 28 brings many new features, small and big: ship SKINs, lots of new and improved visual effects, Opportunity system instead of the old tutorials, revamp of tactical destroyers, import skill plan from clipboard, changes to nullsec ores and mining ... the list is long! Also bookmark EVE Updates as place to look for upcoming features!

Now accepting player speaker submissions for EVE Vegas 2015!
EVE Vegas at October 23-25, 2015, is a fantastic player event and show (second biggest after Fanfest), and we are happy to have YOU there as a speaker! If you have an interesting topic which you want to present in a good way, don't hesitate to contact us with the details at evevegas@ccpgames.com. Final deadline for speaker proposals is September 1st, 2015, but be aware that the speaker slots are limited.

Upcoming changes to Aurum packages
With the next update on April 28 we will streamline AUR packages: both the $5 and $10 dollar Aurum packs will provide more Aurum per dollar. The $15 package was removed, larger AUR packages added. View the overview of AUR packages.

Active characters in EVE by solar system class
CCP Quant (@CCPQuant) has another interesting graph available for us: a timeline of active characters in EVE by solar system. This timeline goes back around 1 1/2 years and shows the relative distribution of active characters according to their location per solar system class (hisec, lowsec, nullsec (NPC and player owned), wormholes). Don't miss the discussion of these graphs on Reddit. In good tradition, CCP Quant has published the raw data for you to play around with. Enjoy!

World news
Caldari Navy Hands Impounded Serpentis Vessel To Propel Dynamics
The Caldari Navy has impounded a Rhea class jump freighter that was able to change thus camouflage its appearance. The ship rose suspensions when the ships transponder started to alternate between two different IDs. An investigation by the Caldari Navy revealed that the cargohold contained more than 385,000 cubic meters of semi-processed narcotics with an estimated market value in excess of 65,000,000,000 Kredits. Watch also The Scope reporting!

Pilot Profile: Nbonga
The recent combat record of the Capsuleer Nbonga is quite impressive with hundreds of ship kills. Nbonga's favorite ship was a Sabre class interdictor. Check out Nbonga's interesting story and his secret to success in ISD Tedra Kerrigan's report. You also might want to read the basic guide to solo Sabres!
