Why is it so hard to find ship statistics online?

I'm trying to find various different statistics for several ships for a school project I'm doing, but it seems like there isn't a place in existence that will give me everything I need. For the strangest reason, nobody seems to have the length of any ships at all posted online, I've had to look for the better part of half an hour just for TWO of the twelve ships I need. It's ridiculous, why is there not a unified resource telling me these things?

The second statistic I'm having problems with is no surprise really, the crew compliment. I found the first two pretty much purely on luck, none of the other ships so far have been able to give me a definite crew compliment or as mentioned, a length which should be really damn simple but apparently it's not.

Is there any resource anywhere at all that lists the lengths of ships and if possible crew compliments? It's idiotic how hard it is being to find these statistics.

Crew is hard to find and never really given. Just generalities that fluxuate in the extreme. Should be able to find it on EVE wiki easily enough... Try this link http://lmgtfy.com/?q=eve+ship+crew+numbers&l=1

For ship length, in the two hours you spent on Google you could have just gone through the ships in ISIS in your game... The preview gives you hull length.

I'm at school, and don't have EVE on my laptop. ISIS isn't an option else I would have gone there immediately.

that took a whole 43 seconds to find, mostly because I waited for a 26meg picture to download before I found this one.

Helpful, thank you. Though it doesn't give me all the ships I need of course. Though it does help some.

Out all the ships in there. Barring the brand new drifters capitals, What is missing? Like really, it has npc rats for fucks sake.

EVE Outtakes (3rd party) has some pretty good ship size comparisons.

Also... this is an older picture of every ship in the game (so no new ships after the Tech 3 Cruisers).
Apologies for the quality (you can barely make out the numbers)... imgur doesn't like huge picture files. I do have have it saved on my hard drive though.
Titans generally average about 13000m (Avatar (gold colored)) to 18000m (Leviathan (steel colored))...
Supercarriers (the large, flat-ish things) are anywhere from 3000 to 4600ms...
regular Carriers are about 50 to 75% of Supercarrier length...
Battleships average 1000 to 1600m...
all the way down to Frigates with average 40 to 70 meters.

edit: EVE ships can get mind-mindbogglingly stupid huge. For comparison... Deep Space 9 in Star Trek was about 1600m in length... about the same size as a Star Destroyer from Star Wars... which is about the size of your average battleship in EVE.

edit3: also bear in mind that these are not even the largest ships in EVE. There is a class of Titans called "Lapetan" (or "First Generation") that completely eclipses everything else (we are talking Death Star PLUS sized).

It has scale models does it not? Use Microsoft paint, Draw a line across the megathron which due the previous picture that somebody linked, somebody who went out of there way btw, because you to lazy to use your own head, we know megathron is 1006m, holy crap, now that that drawn line and copy and paste across the hull of a cap until you get from edge to another.


Oh joy. Look you know have a rough estimate of how big a cap is. Like really, you ask a stupidly vague question, showing no interesting in doing the research yourself. Is enough reason to be an *******.

On the other hand the Constellation Class (Enterprise for example) is rated as a cruiser and the Babylon Stations were considerably larger, Babylon V being five miles long (...all alone in the night).
