Wasn't this already common knowledge? The only difference is that before you could flag yourself as except from warp, people would also try to warp you to an insta out from the station?

As I recall, CFC or some other group would often try to do this to dreds and carriers that they were hell camping in a station.

I wouldn't say common knowledge, not the more subtle squad-move technique anyway. People tend to realize something is up when they see an incoming warp, but not so much put two-and-two together when mashing dock and an ambiguous message pops. So I hear anyway.
