EVE Fanfest 2015 Reykjavik hotels

Probably the wrong place for this, but no doubt a nice ISD member will move it for me.

Those of you who went to fanfest 2015, could you tell me which hotel you stayed at and any pro's/con's it might have had?

Got my tickets for 2016 but need to find a hotel :)

I stayed at Hotell Cabin. A nice hotel within walking distance from city center.

Pro.
Nice beds. Good showers. Good breakfast.

Cons
Sound isolation is bad so you hear the outside trafic well in the morning. Rooms are really small. And the wifi is a joke.

But other than that, i wil probably stay there again if i go next year. IF They sort out their wifi by then.

That said, I stayed at the 4thFloor Hotel, Laugavegur 101. Clean, including breakfast, on the main street, 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Harpa and cheap. The WiFi is reasonably good as well. The rooms are small though.

2007 stayed at hotel cabin.

Pro: as stated, in the center of town, at the time a 10 min walk from fan fest, now more like 20. The beds were nice, the breakfeast was good

Cons: I'm an american, so this next comment is a reflection of that. It was one of the smallest rooms i ever stayed in. It was tiney. The tv had few channels, like 2 in english. and our 'window' looked into a hallway. Besides that it was nice

2015: stayed at Blu saga

Pro: comfy bed, breakfest was good, room was bigger, not far from harpa (we drove though)

Con: mostly just the tv having like 4 english channels lol

I stayed at the loft hostel, really close to Harpa. Very cheap, had great roommates. Even the drunk eve player who crashed in my bed, forcing me to change beds for that night.

Any of the centrum hotels located in city center are pretty great. Decently sized, comfortable, and affordable. I recommend them.
