Hello,

I see posts like this from time to time, and I have corp mates who are willing to replace ships I lose in pvp all the time. I am wondering how much income increases over time/experience. Doing level 2 missions an faction warfare I have about 40 million ISK. That's about 8 slashers with t2 modules. In others words, it's sonething I cant afford to throw away. Does mission running at l4 increase so drastically that you can toss away a 5 million or so ISK ships?

I ask because I like to pvp and want to do so more extensively but it seems tough to do on my budget.

Don't put T2 modules on your pvp ships until you have an income where you don't care about losing them.

... honestly, don't do it at all. T2 crap is for organized fleet work and T2 hulls, not dicking around solo in a T1 hull.

Problem solved.

I've tossed away 2b clones before (was flying with HG snakes in null, fully expecting to lose them).

Isk does tend to increase over time, but has more to do with experience and less to do with SP or skill at the game.

For example, I exclusively make my isk by scamming people in Jita local chat, you don't really need any SP or specific skills to do this, just the awareness that this is a viable way to make money. There are, of course, other viable ways to make money that requires just about as much effort.

This is awesome, are some of the ships still available? We at SF take a lot of newer players in, we would put these ships on a free contract to corp members to get them quickly into combat.

I disagree

Do you still have condors left?

Condors are indeed still available, as soon as I have contracts available I'll send some out to those requesting them.

I'll also try PvP, if I get Condors for free... Cool

On a very high null sec system (meaning -0.1 or -0.2 sec status ) that is level 4 or 5 military upgrades you can make 20 - 25 million isk bounty ticks ( that's every 15 minutes ) without trying to hard if you have decent skills I've seen over 30 million and I've heard of over 36 million. A -1.0 truesec system would be even more

Speed running level 4's I've heard can make good isk as well. There was a guy here in the NC Q&A that claimed he was triaing newer players how to make 200 million isk per hour running level 4s in high sec. I'm not sure how he was doing it because from my experience I was better off running level 3 until I had good battleship skills.

Anyway the point is that yes as you learn more about the game your ability to make isk goes up. Skill points help as well but to a much lesser degree especially after the first 2 or 3 months.

Agreed. For any new players who want to experience PVP but are scared, unmotivated, or just unsure, take this person's offer and try it out!

And insulate them from he harshness of losing ships? What happens when they're on their own?

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices
