Problem launching Teamspeak3

I've searched the web and TS3 forums and couldn't solve this issue. I have windows 8 and when launching TS3, it appears in my taskbar, but won't launch. If I click on the icon in the taskbar, I get a minimized window above the icon but nothing else.

Reinstalling and clearing cache/cookies didn't help. All windows updates are installed.

Anybody else have this problem before. Many thanks for any help

Didn't want to put this in the issues forum as it didn't technically have anything to do with EVE.

Maybe you have an issue with voice detection or push to talk assigned key? Checked firewall rules for blocked apps/ports?

I haven't checked the firewall yet and am doing that now.

I attempted to get in through the .exe and couldn't find an exe file. I dd find a file "ts3client_win64. When I attempted to launch through this file I got a pop up saying "application failed to start because it could not find the Qt platform plugin "windows".

Teamspeak was working a few weeks ago. Don't have a clue what happened.
