The price updates and the history are two different updates. As long as you have the EVEMon replicator going, and you open up the 'Price HIstory' tab (not the 'Market Data' tab) you'll send the update to the server. I talked with the EMD guy and he said the only way you can get the cache to update with the historical data is to look at the graph/table, not just the prices. The volumes get added with the history and that's how I can tell what is sold per day to do the calc. Also, the history will only update once a day at midnight due to the way it works. CREST will work the same.

i have looked at the graph :(

the history update at midnight, is that referring the eve or emdr ?

EVE time, so 4 hours and 10 minutes. You can check the data on EMDR to see if it gets updated in the history.

so, the emdr update is only going to happen at midnight, regardless of when i update the history data ?

where exactly can i check if my updates have been registered ?

Yes.

Just look up the item on the EMD site. Here's an example: http://eve-marketdata.com/price_check.php?step=Show&type_id=630&type=history&region_id=10000043

Note, I have no control over that site. So if it doesn't look right, I'm not sure what I can tell you after midnight.

BTW, testing the CREST stuff now so I'll have a better idea if I can bypass all the EMD stuff with the public CREST data, which will be much more complete and up to date.

midnight is over, SVR values for bellicose and talwar still missing :(

picking a longer period helps for some items, the bellicose gets and SVR value at 15 days, but the Talwar needs 30 days :(

here is a screenshot from my manufacturing list window

30 days: http://gyazo.com/d55afe8daf47f769ee740a943eee3efd

15 days: http://gyazo.com/9715616ea16d287fb75e7ffa6fc302f6

Right, I'm trying to figure out this program and I don't know how to interpret data. I have done some manufacturing previously, so not a total noob.

Let's see.
1. http://i.imgur.com/8SddRpt.png
This is what I see in the Blueprints tab. Skills are accounted for, as is the fact that I'm using a POS. It auto detected the 2/4 ME/TE. I manually put in 10 runs since that's what one BP invention would yield. IPH is ~66K
2. http://i.imgur.com/ePHKH6A.png
This is what I see in the Manufacturing list tab. As you can see, the ISK per hour is wildly different. Which is the correct one? :)

And a secondary question: how can I make sure that the first screen includes invention costs?

Many thanks.

When deleting materials from the shopping list (from the top pane), got an 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error. I don't have more details, was too busy cursing loss of work to save the details :-) If it happens again I'll get the entire thing

Edit: And the loading of shipping lists from disk is still throwing errors.
I'll mail you a link to the shopping list in question. Loading it from disk produces the below error (version 3.1.5575.19226) and removing the T1 items in that shopping list from the top pane is what caused the first error)

http://imgur.com/04wpEW1

Edit2: And after receiving the error in the screenshot, closing the shopping list and reopening it causes IPH to crash completely with "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

New build: Version 3.1.5584.33311

Fixed the issue above and some others.

  • Updated the mining upgrades on the mining tab to match name and meta changes in game.
  • Fixed an error that caused some buildable components to duplicate materials for T2 items.
  • Items used to build polarized weapons should no longer duplicate when added to the shopping list and should not error when they are removed from the shopping list.
  • Output files for shopping lists will now contain the correct columns for min sell/max buy and total cost.

Sorry I was late to reply.

This is where Cirus changes get complicated and somewhat annoying. I put in max flexibility so you can set a different facility for each thing you do since many people probably use multiple facilities (I know I do) to get the lowest usage costs for different activities. But the result of this is that the settings between the BP and manufacturing tabs are more complicated.

So with that said, check your invention/copy/build facility settings on the manufacturing tab and make sure they are the same as those you set through the activity combo on the BP tab. I have a feeling that you are including invention and/or copy time in your manufacturing tab calculations and not in the BP tab. It could also be something like usage checked or unchecked. The easiest way I found to see the difference is to double-click the item on the manufacturing tab to see it in the BP tab with selected options.

Including invention costs can be done with the check box on the calcs tab for invention costs, which is under the facility tab. Double-click the label for a pop-up that shows what is included in the cost shown.

I just heard a rumor ... a RUMOR mind you, that you may be disconitnuing the program. Zifrian, this has been a tremendous amount of work for you over the years, and I know you dont get to do much else in EvE. You have been the champion of industry for a long long time, and people have put tremendous requests to you which you have done your best to answer.

If the program ends, we will adapt, we wil have to. I thought at some point I saw it say it was open source, but no-one can possibly fill your shoes. I only hope the RUMOR is just that. But I realize too that everything changes.

I will send you something in game and on paypal too, in recognition of all you have done for me, for us, and for eve industry.

There is a reddit post on this topic. Fortunately, the redditors quickly stepped up and let Zifrian know how valuable his contribution is.

Zifrian: I'll admit that I probably don't know 80% of the features in Eve IPH, but the part I know is amazingly helpful. I imagine you're pretty burnt out on updating the program after all the Crius changes, but now that it's done hopefully it will be less of a burden. Training someone to assist you sounds like a great idea and may help rejuvenate your interest in Eve. There is a lot of change coming to SOV Null but maybe it will all work out to create a better Eve.

I hope you stay around.

Thanks guys. I honestly didn't know what to think since I feel like 50% of the posts in this thread are mine and the sourceforge download stats don't show numbers I would expect (pretty sure their stats are not working right).

I'll keep working on it and I'm going to see about finding one or two others perhaps that can help out with some features I've been promising but never have time to do. I do enjoy working on it as a hobby project and it's nice to know it's valuable to a lot more people than I thought.

For what it's worth, IPH is one of four programs that I start when I boot my computer and leave running until I shut the computer down

Absolutely love IPH.

Question: When i set the ME and TE of a blueprint ,it seems to tell me that I need less of the material than I really do.

For example.

Caldari Fuel Block - ME 10

In game: 162 coolant
IPH: 159 coolant

Make sure your facility is correctly selected. The Station amount is 162, POS is 159 for 20 runs of that bp. Not sure what you are using or comparing.

Keep in mind that since Crius, material reductions are per batch, not per run, so make sure you have the same number of runs selected in IPH and in the in-game industry screen

I downloaded the installer package, and ran it in windows 7 on my Mac (Parallels virtual machine). The installation apparently worked, but the application icon says "Isk Per Hour version 2.0". Tried to start it, and got the message "contact the provider for instructions on which version of .NET to install. So which version do I install, and where do I get it? And do I have the latest version of IPH?

You do not. Current version is 3.1.5584. You have the pre-Crius version (last year July)
