If you care much of cap stability well a see some cases with projectiles fitted on amarr ships etc etc

What is really furstrating is that they removed turret slots from Cyclone.

1. When ship spinning always go deosil, never widdershins.

2. When selling slaves to Ishukone's black market make sure they're not running a deal for medical experiments. They don't always advertise that and you could be out some ISK.

3. Fit your ship properly. Eve is dangerous. Fortunately, bc you're only ship spinning, the extra mass doesn't count bc CCP has your back.

4. Make alts. Lots of alts. Have them send mail to one another asking about their day. It's fun!

5. Do your homework. Eve is a very complex game. Read up on what you need to perform to the best of your ability and then log on and play with the character generator mini-game. Change your hairstyle, clothes, makeup. Be creative!

Enjoy. Profit.

1- Insure your ship. Unless you are somehow 100% sure your ship won't pop, it's a good idea to spend the insurance fee since it let's you replace you ship and fitting or at least give the money back. This is not useful at all on tech 2 and faction ships tho, because the prices and the insurance's fee and payout is totally outdated.

2- Don't Fly what you cannot afford to lose // Whenever you undock, you agree you might not dock in the same ship again. Sad, crude, but true.

3- Whenever you go into a wormhole, make sure you have your probes. And I don't mean "let someone else do the scanning", I mean always bring your probes.

4- Pick up your drones before warping. This one is really easy to forget, ya, really.

5- Don't mix turrets range. It only reduces your DPS and complicates your positioning. It is, however, recommendable to use as many damage types as you can.

Hope this is useful to anyone.

1) I'm a capital pilot. It's very rare for us to insure our ships, because we don't lose them that often. I've insured my carrier twice before, and never lost it in the period that it was insured. I did, however, lose it when it wasn't.

2) I prefer my version of the rule: "don't lose what you can't afford to lose".

3) I pretty much always let someone else do the scanning. It's worked out so far.

4) Use fighters.

5) On a serious note, it's actually recommended you only shoot one damage type, and that's whatever your enemy is weakest to.

1. Find friendly people to fly with that don't mind helping you learn.
2. Continue to fly with non-assholes.

  1. Never fall victim to one of the classic blunders.
  2. The most famous of which is: "Never get involved in a land war in Asia."
  3. But only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"
  4. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

All these don't mix and match weapons. There's actually a few ships out there were having missiles and guns is beneficial, usually in the form of Projectiles and Missiles.
Usually better off with vamps, neuts, smartbombs, drone range or just leaving them empty for more CPU and PGU to push tank and damage mods.
That's not the point. There are still ships out there that utilise and work well using two types of weapons systems. The Wolf being one of them, another being the Hurricane (both also work well with neuts instead of the dual setup).
Shield nano Hurricane with drone range for frigates .... -.^

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

1) When at a trade hub, i.e., Jita, Dodixie, Rens etc... ignore that "great deal" in Local chat, it's a scam. In fact, just ignore local.

That's wrong. Just spend sometime and learn how to identify some good deals posted in local.

1. insure any ship you fly that may explode anytime, do not insure gnosis , insurance is worth 2 isk .

4. never mine in someone's wormhole unless you trying to provoke a fight. dont mine at all unless you realy want it
5. dont attack yellow flashy orca/hauler on stations, they are usually traps
6. when mining on belt, dont need fit scram or web to your venture, asteroids wont escape.

9. do not steal ice from jetcans in ice sites. its really bad
10. use dedicated mining ships for mining, howewer rokh and nav armageddons can be good miners

Actually, the OP's rule #2 is misworded, and has been since forever.

It's not "don't fly what you can't afford to replace" but rather "don't fly what you're not willing to lose".

Excellence is an attitude.

Its more fly whatever you like because replacing it is trivial.

  1. It's always a trap
  2. It's always a scam
  3. If you look really, really hard, and you cannot see the trap and/or scam, then its a well executed trap and/or scam.

1. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
2. Don't mix long range and short range, or shield and armour. If you don't really really know what you're doing.
3. Everyone is there to take your money. Don't give it to them if you don't have to.
4. Don't click on links in local.
5. Rules of acquisition works really well in EVE too.
34. War is good for business.
X. Skill points isn't everything. Everyone dies from a headshot.
