I bought one because it looks sexy.

but now i have to find a reason to actually fly it and this is where i am struggling.

It is a good exploration vessel but at the same time, a juicy and expensive target compared to just using a covops in hi, low or wh space, a nullified t3 seems better for null.

what sort of ded sites can it run? 4/10? 5/10? maybe just bounce around amarr space running combat sites as lasers struggle against other rats.

i really want to use it but don't know what to do with it... help!

suggested fits for given activities also gratefully received

For PvP it's a good skirmish ship, gets a decent tank and such reasonably quick. The best thing, IMO about it is that it's HUGE drone bay allows to you pack a DPS wing, multiple differnt damage types, Heavies (Or a gecko, Or HEAVIES AND A GECKO D= ) Mediums, lights and ECM drones.

That and even though the strat is bonused for Lasers, it doesn't fairly well with Blasters or Autocannons. a PVP fit strat is really tight on CPU and Pwg however so good fitting skills is a must I would say

Oh it's obvious yeah but actually didn't mean to put that much emphasis in,
my phone decided it was necessary though and for once I actually agree with it, ( normaly it's about as obedient as a hob II What?)

But yeah, I'll generally carry a couple in my cargo with a mdepo .

mine are fitted and rigged for pvp and combat sites in low.

i have done guristas scout outpost(4/10) in 20 mins or so, serpentis phi outpost(4/10) in about 30, and the only 5/10 i have tried, angels red light district took way too long to get to the third room where i almost instantly had to warp out.

it is a very good exploration ship, and has been fun learning its limitations. that being said i havent pvp'd with it(although it is fitted for it), and in my experience most stop probing when they see that one is in a site(or i get done with it before they return to pop it).

edit: got to pvp in it, got hot dropped by a widow with a rapier lighting the covert cyno:(

It can run ded 4's, but more slowly than cruisers that can field 5 drones such as the ishtar. 2 T2 lasers don't add much dps since it's usually better to load drone damage amps than heat sinks (play with EFT). It's good for running sleeper sites. It's quicker to train than a T3, but T3's have the nullified option. Doesn't require a bling fit.

Stratios is an amazing gankboat. The covops cloak, massive fitting flexibility, strong tank, and room for neuts mean you can tank on almost anything. The scan bonuses help you find targets in cosmic sigs fast!

Ratter hunter/killer Stratios fit:

1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Reactive Armor Hardener
Drone Damage Amplifier II
'Dyad' Co-Processor I

Experimental 10mn Microwarpdrive I
Caldari Navy Warp Scrambler
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor
Sensor Booster II

Gatling Pulse Laser II
Gatling Pulse Laser II
Gatling Pulse Laser II
Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Medium Trimark Armor Pump II
Medium Trimark Armor Pump II
Medium Trimark Armor Pump II

Requires 3% PG implant. Use Praetors. Neuts aren't very good against ratters because it's exceptionally rare these days for a ratter to have both an active tank and NOT have a giant EM resist hole. Upgrade to a Deuce Co-Processor and you can swap out the Sensor Booster for a small injector or a PWNAGE. The former will let you kill BS that have a heavy neut fitted.

Reactive Armor Hardener is ridiculously good because in Eve rats are weak to the damage type they shoot, which means both the rats and your target will be shooting the same damage type, maxing it out on one or two resists.

Instead of posting a new thread, I thought I would add my request for a Stratios fit in this one. I am looking for a PvE fit that would be almost exclusively used for hi-sec with brief trips into lo-sec for expeditions and market deals. My main concern is a fit that would maximize my chance to explore and hack into sleeper sites, a problem I'm seeming to have at the moment. My scan skills are at max and I usually use an Ishtar for exploring; a job it does well for combat and normal data/relic sites. However, when it comes to sleeper sites, I usually fail to hack the gate successfully and the few times I did, I was less than successful with obtaining much loot. Are the memetic algorithm banks worth adding to a fit or is there any other module/rig/skill I could add to assist me in succeeding with hacking specifically sleeper sites? Normal hacking causes no problems, but I just seem to completely ..er "blow up", when it comes to sleeper computer systems. Thanks for any help you can offer.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

Yes, and make sure you are using the T2 analyzers.

You are going to use a mobile depot to change your fits, but for sleeper sites use a 1600 plate / armor repairer / 2 EANM so you can tank damage for a while.
