Steely Dan "Aja" album. The whole thing is multi-individual musicians working together gem. To present only one, "Deacon Blues" Ignore the primitive Youtube scrolling lyrics. These guys are entirely headphone audio soundscapers. No performances, no visuals, lyrics are accessories.

[That album has a lot of the so-called "mu chord" or "Steely Dan chord." Which is just a regular bright-sounding Major chord, with one grumpy 2nd interval bastard in there dampening the party a bit. Major chords-- A root waveform, and spot higher up called the Third. It's waveform intersects the root wave once in a while, and they sound great together. All along the nano-seconds between, they were going down the road on their own, and who knew-- they ran into each other and turned out to be soul mates. The journey and the meet up somehow makes the human ear and soul feel damn good. Nobody really knows why.

But wait, there's another character in this tale. The 5th. It's a little higher vibration than our base friend the Root, and it's new on-the-same-path friend The Third. That bright little sprite sings so sweet that and quick that it's vibration intersects Root and The Third both, many times per second. Oh lord, now we got a sweet singing team!

That's the Major Triad. They can do AC/DC one-two-three up and down the road all day long. And sound great doing it, and never get tired! The mu chord has the same happy guys, but adds in one more guy-- The Second. He'd get along with the Fourth or the Sixth, but he's about like Root, but just a little ways off. F-you, I'll never get you and you'll never get me,frienemy! Get on my side, or I'll get on your side. You can hear that all over Steely Dan "Aja." Sometimes right in the midst of chords, and sometimes sequences of notes going around Root, Third and Fifth, and omg back to Mr. Grumpy Second. So brilliant.

I have to link this one, just because the sleepy old 20-inch Bearded Dragon somehow loves it. Something about it gets his old reptile nervous system going all the way down to the tip of his long reptile tail. When I put it on, he woke up, got head alert, eyes and ears focused, and intently focused. And once in a while, some scurrying around the habitat ike a youngster reptile. One more time for you, old man! I like it muchly too. Emerson Lake & Palmer, "From the Beginning"
