One is going to a war only for one reason: to kill people.
People often make up silly excuses, like they are going to reclaim, to conquer, to liberate, to free, to protect, to defend, but in the end it all goes down to killing people. This is what all wars are about.
You may lie to others, you may lie even to yourself, but you won't be able to lie to God.

I have no need to lie to God.

As you suggest, only God can know the intentions of the heart.

Not you, despite your assertions otherwise.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

Would you like to know what's "sad?"

What's sad is when the cluster has reached a point that we, the self-proclaimed "elite," count among our number individuals who find it "sad" that someone would choose to defend their homeland, the people within it and the ideals upon which it was founded even through military action if necessary. That the choice to take a defensive stance, serving to protect those who cannot protect themselves, mitigate damage and chaos and strive to promote stability in an ever-shifting war zone is viewed as a negative thing.

That's sad.

What is really sad, is that you are telling what is sad, while talking about choice to defend the homeland, but on other hand pledge your loyalty to the side of conflict, which occupies other side's homeland.

While you gallentean occupants will continue to stay in Caldari Prime and in our colonies, we will keep fighting, and you will find no place to hide from our wraith!
We will keep fighting and hunting every one of you down, until there are no Gallente on Caldari Prime!

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

At this time, we do not have any formal plans for involvement in any military campaigns or statements of intent.

I'm confused. I mean, don't get me wrong, but you just said the above but the information with regard to VGRD I could get from my circle of informants tells me you are going to join Faction Warfare. This is not criticism. Just a reasonable doubt.

Joining the militia does not entail immediately launching, or participating in, a military campaign.

For clarification: a military campaign would be actions such as the recent blockade in Reitsato launched by GMVA, or a specific plan of action to capture or secure various systems or combat against a specific group or corporation.

We have no plans to do any such activities at this time and joining the militia would be a step toward gaining legal rights to engage in the war zone, nothing more at this time.

Nothing confusing at all. Monsieur Antolliere's position on military readiness is consistent with the time honored truism that "“To insist on strength is not war-mongering. It is peace-mongering.”
