Lets just ignore the fact that we're effectively paying full price for a 2 year old game (it's not really the cost that irks me but mostly the 2 years bit). I've been playing it since launch now and it's becoming more and more annoying. The single player part is ok, no real complaints there but online is another story. Most of these gripes fall in to the "what did you expect" category but that doesn't make them any less of a problem, to me at least. Perhaps I'm just an idiot.

First of all you're playing Loading Time Online. The instance switching & loading is getting tedious, especially so when you try to join a group, leave your instance and then the UI goes "nope, full" and then... you have to reload your own instance again. This gets worse when some clown using a 1200 baud modem and a 386 SX somewhere in fcking hillbilly land is chosen to be host and 12 others from some 3rd world country try to connect to it. Granted, my PC isn't super hot: i5 750, No SSD, 8GB, GTX 550 Ti but it's getting annoying. Anyone have any better experience with this?

It's still a terrible port with really bad controls (flying a chopper either with keyboard or mouse is just a waste of time really although I do ok with planes), if only they'd allow for joystick control but alas: console port. I know there's a joystick to controller program but I couldn't get it to work somehow. Perhaps I'm simply bad.

And then.... you're playing with people who either are 5 years old (and in that case have a valid excuse) or people who haven't really grown beyond the 5 year old stage, with an IQ of 65 tops. Terrible smack & old memes all reeking of low self esteem and repressed anxiety, is this what Goon TS is like? And It's not like the game allows for a logical choice in this matter where you CAN interact with randoms but in a controlled way, APB did it better with proximity voice: you can hear people who are close to you, not the whole fcking instance.

Then again I may just be a clueless bitter moron. Post your findings, tips and rage :)

Excellence is an attitude.

Is that what Goon TS like? hahahaha nope. If we were all like that how do you explain us accomplishing what we do?

Yes, the helicopter controls are terrible and are really meant to be used with a gamepad. I could probably go into my joystick programming software and get something to work but I don't think it's worth the effort.

I have not tried online yet but I'll tell you this is a type game I would not want to play with complete strangers. The performance for single player is great though, I have no issues with that.

My online experience from gta v was:
*Spawn and run around
"Ooh cool, random people"
*Plane crashes on me

"Ok, that happened"
*Start stealing a npc car and an armored car drives over me and shoots me few times till i'm kill
"Gotta be careful this time

Friend calls as i spawn and i exit the game, have not been able to launch the game after that.

I love you for mentioning the 386SX. :)

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

Hello OP, I strongly suggest you look at getting a wired 360 controller for your PC. They are $29 from Walmart last time I checked. A really large proportion of games PC games these days have full controller support and often feel much better with one than with a KB/M.

I would ragequit GTA V on PC if I couldn't drive with my 360 controller. I just drop it in my lap when I need to aim and shoot. Very smooth and convenient. I personally think GTA V's strength is in its single player sandbox. I have heard the online component is kind of meh. Anyway, I'm really enjoying playing through it and I hope you are able to come up with something that makes it more enjoyable for you too.

The flight controls baffle me however I did manage to para-glide into another player, knocking us both into highway whereupon we got hit by a truck that then caused a mass pileup. The guy went to shoot me but got whacked by a falling street light which killed him. I celebrated for a few seconds before everything exploded when the chopper I couldn't fly finally found its way to the ground.
