They're nerfing t3 destroyers in the wrong way.

Yeah, after the nerf T3 destroyers will cost like 65-70kk, which is still a little bit more than assault frigs and way less than pirate frigs (especially considering insuranse). And t3 destrtoyers will still be much better than any frig. So CCP will have to nerf them again, untill they become a little bit better than assaults, a little more expensive, and another ships nobody cares about.

Right now T3 destroyers are unique, because you can have a small scale pvp in nano-era style with them. You can actually play hit&run warfare with them, trying outmaneuver all those blobs with zillion logists. And I agree to pay sunstentially more for my favorite pvp style than 60-70kk. Make them cost like HACs, so they will become ships for a few. But don't nerf their stats, because the game is way too boring without such ships.

Build costs for each went up by around 12mil, so the current price of 44-45 mil reflects that already, and will likely settle here.

They are broken as **** and completely killed the healthy frigate meta in low and nullsec. Having a ship with a 40m sig go 6km/s with 23k EHP and be unscrammable is beyond imbalanced.

I totally agree with you. In fact, my favourite 'style' of gameplay is winning all the time. So I think we should increase the price to 10 bil and buff them to have a module that can instant kill any sub capital ship once every 10 minutes (like a mini doomsday). Also cloaky, interdiction nullified, 500k EHP and cannot be pointed.

It's not exaggeration, with links you can achieve those numbers easily although you'd need to go into defense mode to get the EHP which you can easily do once you've caught your target.

Never had a problem with them, I can solo kill them in a damn Moa pretty easily.

But then again that is in null, so no fancy pods and stuff.

Last time I attacked one, I was doing 32 damage per volley compared to base volley of 1200.

Why do they have such a tiny sig radius for such a souped up ship?

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

I hate everything about t3 dessies.

Concept of a ship that can change modes in space is awesome.... apart from the fact this is EVE not a game of gundum. Balancing this was always going to be a fools errand of iteration after iteration.

They completely wrecked the meta for small ships. Delete them now or just do a battlecruiser style balance pass on them.

Flat out removing them is better then balancing them, they add absolutely nothing to the game. All past ship additions did something unique and had a newish niche, you had super ganky bcs, the ultimate nano ships (mordus) and so on, t3ds are simply way bettter destroyers survialwise, they dont do more dps or do anything else unique (the mode change is just rp in reality).


The meta would be better if they were not in it flat out. **** ship class.

They could do with some bigger trade-offs and more limitations on mode-flipping.

But I don't think they're as broken as they're being made out to be.

No they cant, svipul can tank them forever (or at least long enough to kill off all its drones, rendering its dps 0)

Negative, Tristan with a TD owns face against a 10mn fit Slippery Nipple Svipul. You not land a single blow on the drones. I dont think you can self rep with any 10mn fit. Soooooooo....... Svipul dies

It's funny that you have no Svipul kills with a Tristan but you lost your TD Tristan to one.

Indeed I did. he was MWD fit with light missiles. Why that mail shows he did 100% of his damage with artie is beyond me. Also, I'm not gonna splode a corpies Svipul
