I have to agree. I can't say I have seen the "homeless guy on the corner preaching the second coming" etc in a long time. The days of patch day coming, set skills for at least 3 days, expect to lose half your stuff, grab your ankles and try not to scream are certainly missed for the nostalgia bit.....but then I like having like 10-15min DTs and 30-45min patch DLs (damn you Chinese interwebs for blocking foreign content!~!!!!)

Patch days are not what they used to be :P how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

But, seriously.... that nonsensery was one of the first times I sat back and said "what is everyone on about? It worked just fine for me.", and thus begun a trend of smugposts by me that lasted all the way up until the last broken patch.

I guess now would be the time to admit that I *DID* have patchday issues, but most of those were fixed by just clearing the cache, and the others were my ISP or (in the early days) a crappy computer. So, there was truth to all those posts, just not quite as much as I lead you all to believe.

We had a few major cockups not long ago. The server was down for quite a few hours. I think it happened on one of my days off so I wasn't amused at the time. You can be sure there will always be opportunities for major ****-ups on CCPs part.

I remember patch days when I literally couldn't post fast enough to troll them all. It used to be hard work dammit! Now, its like three to five patch day 'waaaaa launchr no work!' threads, and that's it. The last patch day issue I had was when my launcher was on English, and the ads were in Russian, but that was it.

What is wrong with you CCP? This isn't what I signed on for!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I always used to set a level 5 skill in the queue during expansions just in case. Now with the infiqueue, theres no need to do even that anymore!

Also notice how its the new entitled generation who never had to sit through 'patch weeks' who always demand reimbursements and stuff for any minor inconvenience...
