1. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
2. If it looks to good to be true, you're getting scammed.
3. If you think you have the upper hand, you're about to get screwed
4. When you press undock, you consent to having your ship attacked, whether you want it or not.
4a. Concord provides punishment, not protection.
5. Ship combat is not the only form of PvP.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

5. I can't use turrets/launchers.

I'm glad people say supercarriers are soooo OP Lol

Ok back to OP, true for all 5.

Heh, I should had add a "true for non-capital ships only".

Hum... this is actually my number 2, just in a different phrase; hold on, I'll update it.

1- Insure your ship. Unless you are somehow 100% sure your ship won't pop, it's a good idea to spend the insurance fee since it let's you replace you ship and fitting or at least give the money back. This is not useful at all on tech 2 and faction ships tho, because the prices and the insurance's fee and payout is totally outdated.

2- Whenever you undock, you agree you might not dock in the same ship again. Sad, crude, but true.

3- Whenever you go into a wormhole, make sure you have your probes. And I don't mean "let someone else do the scanning", I mean always bring your probes.

4- Pick up your drones before warping. This one is really easy to forget, ya, really.

5- Don't mix turrets range. It only reduces your DPS and complicates your positioning. It is, however, recommendable to use as many damage types as you can.

Hope this is useful to anyone.

...and bookmark the hole before you jump through or warp away! (especially if you don't have probes)

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

1. If it looks/sounds too good to be true ..... it's a trap

2. Trust No one

3. If you own a cat, ensure the animal is locked out of the room during your eve gameplay or it WILL sleep on your kb

4. Wives have no comprehension of the serious nature of EVE Online. Do NOT attempt to explain it to them. You will lose all credibility.

5. The arse who just destroyed a years worth of your work will always say "dude don't get bent out of shape.... it's only a game"

Eve is the dark haired, totally hot emo gothchild of the gaming community

Sounds like it's just happen with you all those in one time at one place. Bad days are happened.
1) didn't want that ship anyway
2) same as above
3) type in local something like - yo dickheads, they will probe you themselves
4) didn't want those drones anyway
5) not even sure what is about

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

Some rookie mistakes:

*better to leave drones behind before your ship goes into structure..
*only because you can repair your armor in space its not always a good idea to run it all the time or you risk nuking your capacitor.
*Bring the right ship for the job
*when doing skirmishing always have one eye on dscan/have a way out.
*sometimes its better to sacrifice 1 ship to let your fleet live to fight another day.
*don't push t2 weapons training back.
*pick 1 ship class at a time to skill into, you will get better performance faster and less confusion later.
*Don't perma run modules when they aren't needed, especially under neuts or longer battles.
*a decent overview is vital.

All these don't mix and match weapons. There's actually a few ships out there were having missiles and guns is beneficial, usually in the form of Projectiles and Missiles.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Usually better off with vamps, neuts, smartbombs, drone range or just leaving them empty for more CPU and PGU to push tank and damage mods.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

That's not the point. There are still ships out there that utilise and work well using two types of weapons systems. The Wolf being one of them, another being the Hurricane (both also work well with neuts instead of the dual setup).
