It's only like a super-volcano of childhood feels where each individual bit of feels is wrapped up in a kitten wielding a lightsaber while floating on a Millenium Falcon pool floaty.

On second thought, that analogy came out completely wrong. Still, totally nailed it again.

I dunno. These trailers look ok, but they're kinda disjointed, like there's no narrative. Hope the villains are cool. And what's with the Obama look-alike in the stormtrooper suit?

I think the last EVE promo video with all the players doing their thing was much more epic and cinematic than anything I've seen from the new Star Wars trailers.

Sacrilege! Heretic! Burn him!!!!! Twisted

No joke aside...I´m curious. The trailer looks nice and I wanna see what Disney made with the new trilogy. But I fear as it was with Transformers VI it´s more of a special effects firework than anything else and the trailer already showed the best moments of the whole movie. What?

We`ll see...

I dunno. Even in the trailers, the transformers movies never really got a good coherent feel other than EXPLOOOOOOOOOOSSIOOOOONS!

Heck, the prequel trilogy didn't feel right until RotS, and the trailers for that felt properly OT compared to the previous ones. But I haven't been feeling that 'this isn't quite right' with the new trailers. Even with new shot types and some new effects, every bit feels dead on. Like if I waited a bit longer in an OT film, I might have seen these shots. Just a nice... feel, I guess. The sounds, the looks, the shots all show the same coherency of look and feel and sensation that the OT movies had, but spritely and caught up with the parts of modern cinematography worth using with a sense of... epicness, I guess, that the PT only properly got with RotS.

So, I'm not worried about looks or shooting, I think it's been pretty much gotten. The writing remains to be seen, but I suspect that from the level of care in design already demonstrated that it'll nail the right touch like a frigate getting hit by a Doomsday.

If Start Trek is of any comparison here it will make small splash in December.

I will barely justify 15$ for parking and 12$ for pops and soda and continue to hope for better movies to come.

First one was. The second one was birther-truther nonsense spewed around much like an amarrian disco battleship. But it did have some nice Star Wars moments, though, in the bits that weren't stupid. But that isn't his fault. Well, other than hiring the guy on who wrote all that and for him not telling him that his ideas were stupid and to never write them again.

But that's okay, he's got one of the guys who helped with the OT scripts helping him, he'll do fine.

I truly want this to not suck, but I refuse to get my hopes up. I've been burned too many times by games, movies, what have you.

You are trolling right?
The new Star Trek films were full of cliches, melodrama and childish space cowboy fantasies. They devalued Star Trek from the introspective, exploration with the imagination for the sake of his fetish for Star Wars.

Abrams created 2 of my favorite TV series (Fringe and Lost) but his movies suck. His 2nd StarTrek was just terrible ... Ugh

I enjoyed the new Star Trek far, far more than any of the old fart bits and pieces I have seen of previous incarnations.

Those, too. Actually, I don't remember much about the first ones. Been ages since seeing any of them.

I trust the guy - ST1..... no reverse erm -1 ? was a bit too full of lense flare, however on retrospective visits, it works - i watch it a lot anyway, enjoy it alot everytime.

Im looking to see how he flips Star Wars - i dont think itll be bad personally, but 2 trailers each featuring the millenium falcon burning it hardcore foot to the floor through impossible landscapes (tech scapes ?) and surviving and winning isnt enough for anyone.

Ever. Lets face it - it never was. Was it ?

That was because paramount forced him to work with a 9/11 truther writer. Whom was promptly fired for the next movie after all the complaints.
