New Eden Wormhole question

Not sure if anyone has talked about this yet, and I'm not sure how anyone feels about it ether, but i want to ask anyways. What does every think about opening the new Eden wormhole back to our old galaxy, and opening up new space and races and ships, that are a bit more powerful then the eve ships today. Due to they have been around longer, and we had to start over, and all that, and what not

That will never be the case Ace Face, the game has not grown at a rapid enough pace. Female avatars need more lace, that would help populate more space. My poem is a disgrace, I will now slink off without a trace.

Obviously, this is what you'd like to have. Now please ask yourself ...
... how long would it take to move the whole game into such a direction?

How much of an impact this would have on *the whole game* ...
... which means *literally everyone*.

How long it would take create all these assets.
Then the storyline, because it all has to make sense too, you know?

What you want ...
... will most likely come in a rather different flavour.

You may choose to start anew in space far away from where we are now ...
... but it might be likely that you will not have that without being in a corp.

Building stargates will eventually lead us somewhere.

That includes you.

You and your friends will find and see space that has not been seen before.

Random procedurally generated nebulae with systems spanning thousands of AU ...
... where travelling from one end to the other takes you a coffee break.

You will be there.

You will love it.

And then you'll die.
Ingame, of course.

I guess, I don't understand what's wrong with this idea? New ships, new races, more firepower, space to fly and space to grow. This would be a long term upgrade mind you not a short term fix like I've seen so many times! More stuff for the noobs, whats the issue? More room to grow means more fun!

Space is every expanding, is it not?

Sounds exactly like a WoW expansion.


There was space added recently. (shattered w-space systems)
There were ships added recently. (e.g. tactical destroyers)
There was a new race added/introduced recently. (drifters)

sorry when did anyone say much more powerful? I just looked over my post and I'm not seeing those words used? I do think the quote was " bit more powerful" not "much more powerful"

Considering how destructive the Eve Wormhole collapse was for New Eden I have my doubts anything survived on the other side.

This idea has been floated before. I was one that mentioned it a few times, but I have come to feel differently about it.

The current example is the new T3 destroyers, they are dialing them back though with the next release.

OK when I said "bit more powerful" we don't have to do that at all this looks like the only part of this you are focusing on, we can make the new ships just as kick butt as the current one's! would that make it more balance for you? Maybe even get them really really really close to the once we have now "cough, cough" copy & paste the stats like they did in dust for militia gear and standered gear. Sad just make sure you make one cost more, Any ways.

Back to why you don't want more space to fly around? That's what I'm just cloning myself to know!

Not that WH space isn't cool or anything, but kind of lame, I'm just saying build a dang local com tower and maybe some gates to like them but that's another troll convo, sorry about that.

The powercreep in Eve is relatively small compared to other MMOs.
If you want a strong example look at WoW: Every expansion they release new stuff that's more powerful than the old stuff.
Not only makes it all the old stuff irrelevant it also leads to excessively large dps/hp numbers. (I think in WoW the numbers eventually got so ridiculously large that they had to do an overall "squish" of item levels - and they will have to do so again in a few expansions)
