I use it on my orthrus for manual kiting and bumping accurately.

Absolutely lovely feature. Fail troll OP.

I tend to use manual control when using frigate/destroyer class ships. I do it on the larger ships as well, but I usually get lazy and do things the old fashion way with anything battleship and up. They're just too slow and microwarps make them fly like bricks lol

So yea, I use them pretty often and i like them. Adds a certain element of fun to the game (for me).

It can also lead to an Orthrus being caught on the undock of a station by two battleships. Doing the oil' dive and play chicken then accidentally scream oh **** as you fail burn into 1km of a dual web mega and a Hyperion. That was a nice 800mil kill there.

watching trolls is more fun! thx for content while I´m idling on station by the way Cool

Used this feature for a few minutes after introduction, but camera and movement control have been too disappointing to use it imo

+1 for follw-up / third person style camera

Undock Bookmarks - very good one I haven´t thought of. Thx for that.

NITPICKING!

A former friend called it the "arbitrary up".

There's not a single station, gate or structure which isn't exactly as one would expect it to be.
Even the ship balances out on the horizontal plane. There's some weird behaviour when it doesn't,
but that's not the rule ... it's the exception.

You don't see a single rotated station, gate or structure anywhere in this game.
Sometimes I feel like even moons and planets look that way.
(yes, you see rotated gates ... but the upper side of these gates is exactly where you would expect it)

The only mildly interesting difference are planetary rings, which rotate half-assedly.
They even rotate through stations. Slowly.

So ... there is an up in space.
At least in internet space.

Sorry for nitpicking. ^_^

Also, is there a recommended keyboard remap since it doesn't look like CCP is going to implement one?

Numpad.
Everyone saying WASD are dumb, since those are already navigational commands that are much more important than the directional manual flying commands.
