huge ship basically a station cant do much else....

dock
refit
store ships
use as a Titan bridge
no weapons
huge tank
point defense cannons (autofire on anything within 10km - for drones and frigs)
would require a capital fleet to defend it

would be good IMO

Alright, let's play a game.

CCP creates a new ship that is to Titans what Titans are to everything else -- some sort of uber super monster mega ship.

The game is answering these questions:

  1. What does this ship do?
  2. How much does this ship cost (or what is required to build it) in order to keep it actually rare?

It is the Polaris frigate.

It does anything you want it to do.

The costs involve working for CCP.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I was sitting here thinking about how damn common Titans are now, and how they were supposed to be rare, and thought, "I wonder what it would take for something like that to remain rare" and then thought "I won't get real replies, but lets post it up anyway!"

It is actually known as the Ultimate Frontier Observer, a Super-Titan class.

Being able to use this cylindrical style Jove ship takes approximately 2 years to train the skill required to fly it, and you can't pause the training or it resets.

It doesn't have any weapons, moves no quicker than 200 m/s, and has no shields, but it has 1,000,000,000 armor and 100,000,000 hull.

It has two modules, the first allows it to cyno/jump anywhere, with limit to a 1 week cooldown period, and the second is a WG generator.

The sole purpose of this ship is to use the WG generator after cynoing into EVE constellation, opening the EVE gate, and have just enough armor and hull to pass through the EVE Gate without being destroyed.

Thus, anyone who makes it is able to visit the Sol system and planet Earth, destroy the white house, and get punched in the face by Will Smith upon being shot down in the grand canyon by an F16 fighter jet.

Idk about you but i'd like to see that.

Drifter Dreadnaught
It kills everything in an I-Win, cheat my ass off fashion.
You can't buy them, they are NPC cheat buttons, intended to compensate for a lack of PvP mineral loss.

Long ago there was a thread in F&I about "hive ships", around the time the Minmatar "Sky Mother" project was mentioned in the chronicles.

It was a long thread and the concept was popular. But the thread died and the storyline around Sky Mother along with it in the chronicles (the last mention I know of it being in the end of the book Templar One).

A hive ship. Essentially a space station that can be relocated about the solar system, or jumped to another.

A hive ship.

A central core that several other smaller combat ships dock up with externally.

It would be a new class of ship with newly shaped smaller ships that are specifically designed to dock with that mother-ship.

The smaller ships wouldn't be radically changed from existing ships stat wise but would be mandated to having a specific hull configuration to attach cleanly to the hive.

In other words, "some" frigates and cruisers would gain an option to be converted for hive-ship use but it wouldn't/couldn't serve as such for just any ship. It would require that hull change to fit.

    1) Well it's really big...uh....bigger than a Titan....so yeah, it's big.
    2) It is produced by one of four BPOs awarded to the winners of some uber-farming activity like Faction Warfare, then never seen in space.

TLDR: utterly irrelevant item that interests the simplest of middle school minds.
