Fix Female Animations/Vanity Items

I'm not sure how this should be categorized, but whenever someone wearing a skirt sits down on the couch the model/skin breaks and her legs...move through the skirt model/skin.

Also, the animations in the skirt are kinda...bad. I'm not sure if there are any female CCP animators but the females stand with their legs apart and walk like they are in big chunky boots, rather than in heels with one foot in front of the other.

Anyway, if you guys have one programmer left for Incarna or such, it would be nice to see these issues tightened up.

Additionally, apparently I have to re-buy vanity items for every jump clone I own? That seems like an oversight, or obscure for the sake of obscurity issue.

As it is, if I buy a shirt on one jump clone/station I can't put it with shoes/pants that I have on another jump clone/station. While I get the idea of this, it seems very inconvenient.

The problem is, as I understand it, the cloth is dynamic, but the collision detection sucks.

However, I suspect this one will be dumped back with 'fix female animations in general' since at the moment we all look like Barbi dolls due to the limited number of animations they created.

The problem is, as I understand it, that CQ was a "field test" for the engine they wanted to use in "the other game". Trying to pull some hard currency out of the customer's pockets with over-priced vanity items was more or less a byproduct.

Following that thought, designs were made at a bare mininum to get the thing running and leave it at that.

As a side note, "Walking on Stations" was all over the forums three years ago and was "just right down the corner". I think with Incarna and the NeX store (and the events around that) things like that have been put on ice after the customer base's reaction.

Yah and what I'm afraid of is that they will simply abandon incarna and half ass it like they do a lot of other things. They've spent so much time on this already, it seems like a huge waste to just abandon it as it is and leave it without a common area for people.

There are more character issues.

Indeed the skirt cloth/leather movement needs updating.

A better more gracefull walk would indeed be great too.

I also would like to see changes to facial expressions. Though these are more universal and not only limited to females. Currently it is to hard to get a nice picture for the avatar-images.

Like I can not make a BIG smile showing my teeth. Any big smile always makes me look like the Joker from batman. The intended smile is simple a very very odd looking grin, which always makes you look evil Twisted instead of trying to put on a nice smile. It also is impossible to open your mouth big SmileBig smile, hench you always see just a bit of teeth X, but never more. Another issue is, and I suspect that is the reason they wont allow you to open your mouth big time, is that your cheeks will go through your hair, sometimes.

The eyes have similar issues. It is simply impossible to have one eye open and one closed, so ... winking Blink. Yes, you can gamble on your eyes closing at the moment you take a picture, and having you cheek pulled up a bit on one side. But then the "open" eye, would be halfclosed too. ShockedBlink

So as the OP said, work on skirts, ... and walking for females.

but also improof eyes and mouth movements for the avatar-image (male and female).

P.S.
I do not look like Barbie ... do I?

…and while you're at it, fix all those one-sided meshes that become invisible when seen from behind. A large number of NeX items have this problem to some degree, but the skirts are the most glaringly obvious.

For instance, if you look at a monocle from behind a character's ear, you can see “inside” the monocle and notice all those surfaces that aren't being rendered because they're facing outwards. Likewise, if you look through the slit in the back of a skirt, you should reasonably see the cloth at the front of the skirt, but instead, you see nothing because again, the you're looking at the “inside” of the mesh and the surfaces are only rendered on the outside (the same holds true if you look from front to back, but without that slit, it's much harder to notice).

Yeah, I don't know how bad it is in the Structure skirt, but the main one that people seem to be buying is kinda...meh.

There is a lot that would need to be done, but is likely not...

People were clamoring to get the ship spinning back. And they got it. So I still think investment in CQ and beyond will be rather limited and it remains to be a glorified portrait creator.

Try getting in a spaceship, it really isnt that bad outside the station...

That isn't the point, and you're being dismissive on an actual bug/problem simply because you don't think it is a big deal. If you don't care, why bother posting?

actually its a decent solution. The CQ stuff is probably not going to be hit anytime soon. Several reasons why.

the gallente and caldari skins have been well receieved. Still have sub cap skins for 2 races to touch up and the caps are virgin territory all races. What this means is is any master skinners not burning midnight oil to polish up dust for release are working ship models and skins.

Dust.....for human modellers and skinners is getting higher priority. Models makes or break FPS, I'd wager most of them are in that project now. Would not fault CCP if so....Dust is 24/7 human models in action, CQ is used way less (as you can't run AE or sanctums watching that tv in your room lol).

latest patch has been well received. Latest patch different from recent ones in that it fixed or enhanced game play out of the station. Even bitter vets like it and they can grumble about damn near anything eve related. CCP's best bet is to continue the trend in the summer patch. already got buzzing about AF data not even in sisi yet, this if anything should be the focus for the summer imo. they are doing better with actual content patches. CCP tried fluff development, gave them incarna where people opted to stare at walls till they gave back the old hangars. And 70,000 man hours in a non-secure website they tore down in days flat.

I'll be nice, minny and amarr makeovers, fix AF's.....then they can go back to fluff cq stuff.
