Out of Pod Experience

I have a variety of reasons that I click "Like" to a post, besides the obvious reason, I sometimes use it for the following:

- To lure someone back to a thread even if I did not like their post or agree with them.
- Sometimes I "Like" a post written against what I am saying to confuse the poster.
- Occasionally, because their post is well written, I use it as a little gold star and has nothing to do with what they wrote.
- To acknowledge that I have read a response to a post of mine but show I do not care enough to reply.
- Every now and then I use it as a *wave* so that a familiar name knows I have read one of their posts.
- I deliberately misuse it randomly to devalue it.

As the title says, what other ways and reasons do you use the forum's Like button?

Various reasons. If they're funny, make a valid point, or they are someone I know.

I only like, cause the title of the thread tells me to give likes.

Cannot define a Like post. You know it when you see it.

If your absurdist self posted something so ironical/stupid that it busted up the seriousnes, a Like.

If you're a general prick, but this time you're making a lot of sense, and I can't dispute it-- a Like.

If you're one of the posting crew, and known to continue the dialogue and/or be cool to other people, a Like.

Likes are like love. Love costs you nothing. But if you spread your love around too much, you might get burnt. Likes are precious, best to hold them tight, and give them only to the deserving.

I like a post if I agreed with it, if it made me laugh, if it was helpful to me, or if it linked to something good that I hadn't discovered before like new music.

I'm naked.

I never use the like-button.

I don´t like anyone either, of course.
