A big NO to everyone that wished one day to live in null and move around the universe other than sit in highsec the whole time is:
Gate camps

These drastically limit the game play in terms of player activity and movement, not only for the fact that you will be destroyed, but also mentally as the player will put aside all the things he wish to do and could do, if there was only a way to travel around in a semi safe manner (and I don't mean safe as concord safe, I mean safe as per mechanics safe)

So with thta said I truly believe that you CCP , should bring to the PvP area for for this game a little more dynamic other than sit on a gate and press f1, that is not PvP, has nothing to do with PvP, it is actually plain ******.

My suggestion is that you CCP require the pvpers to do just a little more than sit on the gate to kill a target, while at the same time open up opportunity for travelers to move around but still be in dangerous if not good pilots (so its up to their skill)

I suggest that, if someone that jumps through a gate and clicks warp before he decloaks, then he will stay invulnerable until the moment he starts warping.

He can then be caught with bubbles while in warp that are place with 1au or more from the gate.

This will give the pvpers the actual feeling of PvP going after a target or group of targets by having to use their skills, and at the same time gives the opportunity to people to move around outside highsec but still require some basic skills as in dscan for bubbles and possible safe warps to get to their destination, while at the same time killing the ****** gate camp and f1 activity called PvP in this game.

This would not happen in highsec because of ship warping systems overriding with concord devices.

hm.. no.

Gate camps give you a chance to do some preliminary home defense of your system. And you can easily avoid 99% of gate camps with WCS, and a cloak. So no, this is just silly.

so, make it impossible to secure your space or defend against that roving fleet of reds flying through 20 systems you own unopposed because they cant be targeted, to go sit in your primary ratting system?

yeah no.

this isnt dynamic, this is a "I want to roam with impunity in other people's space without having to fight for it, because screw defenders and SOV mattering"

OP doesn't seem to understand that chokepoints are vital for forcing engagements and intercepting people... for better or worse.

OP also doesn't seem to understand bubble mehanics.
(hint: they cannot be used in high and low-sec... they do not affect ships if they are erected after their target has initiated warp... they do not affect ships unless they are on the same destination grid AND in-line with the exact warp trajectory as the target ship)

OP also needs to learn how to avoid or blitz past gatecamps. In 6 years I have only lost 1 Blockade Runner, 1 Deep Space Transport (pre-buff), and one regular industrial... out of hundreds upon hundreds of resupply trips through low-sec.

Such a complicated proposal when there's already plenty of options.

Force a minion to jump through to 'scout'' first then sneak past while they are dying gloriously. You can either ask them nicely, threaten to kick them from corp or tell them there's a titan tackled on the other side then watch the whole fleet lemming through.

Or just ask in comms "Did somebody say JUMP?"

If you are solo screeching that you are blue sometimes gives you time to sneak past. Boobie gifs in local also buy you a few seconds to ninja past.

Wrong section.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Seriously? What kind of idiot are you... That's a rhetorical question, don't answer it.

So interceptors are not enough now? You can dictate pretty much ANY engagements and not only that... you have what Titans and Supercarriers used to have... immunity to bubbles!

Every once in awhile you get someone like OP that starts a thread in the EVE forums... Burn him away Twisted

Edit: OP didn't even post in the right section...

Been around since the beginning.

When i started playing in the yesteryear of 2007, people were complaining about gate camps.

Now it's 2015. CCP has give us ways to circumvent gate camps. Their are sub capital ships with jump engines (black ops battleships), the same ships can jump portal some other ships (recons, tech3s, cov ops etc). Titans can bridge all sub capital ships. Capital ships themselves can jump. Wormholes let you avoid gates all together. Some ships can warp cloaked and a couple different types can warp cloaked and be nullified (interceptors and the new yacht come with this capability built in). There is even the mwd+cloak trick that can work. Not even mentioning scouts, alt scouts, and gate camp breaking gangs of friends.

And after adding most of these tools (some already existed) in the almost 8 years I've played, people are still complaining about gate camps. Proof that some people don't want 'tools', they want 'guaranteed solutions'.

I say if you don't like gate camps, do something about them with existing tools and your brains.
