I am just wondering, I am really encouraged about the topics on this forum about the current work on the OSX client and I can't wait to see how it progresses when the next cider update comes out.

In order to assist in this, I really would like to work out what is the best process with which to submit information to the Dev team via the ticket system, in particular when I do get random client freezes. I have resorted to running Eve in windowed mode to prevent these lock ups requiring me to hard reset my mac when the client does crash.

When there is a freeze is there a way to grab some sort of crash report or generate a crash report once I force quit a client so it can then be forwarded to CCP?

Hi Tiberius,

We have an in-client bug reporting tool that you can access from the F12 (Help) menu. This collates logs and system info as well as what you author, and sends it directly to the appropriate bucket in our defect tracking system.

Now, we understand that in some cases (like with crashes) it isn't possible to submit a bug report through the client, so you can always submit a report through the following page: https://community.eveonline.com/support/bug-reports/

That page also allows you to keep tabs on any bug reports you've submitted, and you can check existing bug reports for comments from us.

There's a full page on creating Cider logs and such for Mac clients over here.

Please let me know if you need any more information!

Best,

Sledge.
