Standing impact from shooting objects - MMJU vs MTU

Can anyone explain to me why shooting an Mobile Micro Jump Unit negatively impacts standing, but shooting a Mobile Tractor Unit does not?

I can't find any explanation for it. Any logic behind it? Or is it just one of those CCP oversights "working as intended" things?

While this is most likely in the wrong place I would suggest it is because you have illegally engaged this unit. This is despicable and I for one condemn your actions

My guess... Usage.

If I anchor an MMJU, you all can use it for the next 2 days. Attacking it is like vandalizing a swing everyone can use in a park. Also, an MMJU may not be "owned" by anyone once dropped.

If I anchor an MTU, you cannot access it at all. So attacking is like stealing, so suspect timer.

Gateguns will also fire on you if you shoot one. Its a bug, petition it. Youll get your sec status back.

Yah, well you must be one of those naughty ganker types who beat on newbie haulers. FWIW, I'm just trying to clean up space clutter left by CODE and their friends. I swear, if children would only learn to put things away!

Standing hits for shooting players or player owned anything are a horrible, pointless mechanic and should not be a thing.

Verify if you got kr on you from the owner yet? You should. Code treats this like ganking an array or something but doesnt concord you. But station/gate guns will fire, you lose sec status and give the owner a killright. Its a bug. It would be fixed but the rules about talking about bugs/gm correspondence on the forums allow this to remain hidden and unfixed. Yes bug was submitted. Yes im also sure its waiting in line with hundreds of other bugs and only specific gms see the petitions about the wrongly sec status loss and just adjust it back. Then this topic gets closed and silenced.

I understand why the rules about bugs/gm petition response are there, but you must relise this bug will remain unfixed and hidden if it is kept in the dark except in some endless bug submition queue line.

I assure you you will get your security status given back with petition. Mine took over 30days so the killright naturally fell off but worth a chance for that too.

Please isds tell ccp to list this as a known bug.

but not all programming is scripting.
