Ah Lugh and Rivr, true words spoken.

Last week after setting up a tarp for a ninja miner visting us with his Retriever the rest of the corp has left for the night and I thought I would fly my Harbinger into a close lowsec system.
So I jump in and have a cynabel, an Omen and a stabber fleet issue on d-scan and warp to another lowsec gate. The Omen and stabber were there and moving around a little, they lock me up but they don't engage and curious that I am I jump and let the two decide if they want to engage or not.

There was a hurricane that wasn't so hesitant to engage but I had a Brutix on d-scan and thought that would be a little too much firepower and I jump back to the the Omen and stabber intead.
Both were still there and by now they could have figured out that I didn't have a hotdrop waiting. So I engange the stabber and the Omen bails immediately and the stabber is starting to go down.

Even with the gateguns it seems that the stabber won't survive and right before his armor was going down three (3x !!!!!!) Exequrer warp on grid and start repping the stabber Straight

But I like what Lugh said and yes you are right. Killboards and their skewd appearance dominate the behavior on the field even though they never tell the whole story.

Baali, I don't know what can be done but I would nerf people if I could.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

You know killboard are "important" when you have to tell people to STFU about their whore drones and start repping in their scythe... I nearly asked my FC if I could be caller just for a minute...

considering my typhoon was used to cruise at around 50km/s i think speed now its low enough.

Things brawling ships have to deal with before they get to do their magic:

-- Getting close

and a kiting ships that don't use missiles or drones have to stay away from scrams what is the difference here? oh yeah generally the long range ship is 100 percent ****** once anything lands a scram on it.

-- Scram kiting

I'm sorry anything that happens within scram range IS brawling, seriously what are you using that can't project out to the edge of scram range, the smallest blasters loaded with antimatter?

-- Pretty much every other ship being faster

not true, have you met the dual prop XLASB scram vaga?

on a more serious note if you're close in brawler is slow, YOU did that, kiting ships usually make serious compromises for their speed, if you want to keep up you probably have to make similar compromises.

-- Being in smartbomb range almost exclusively

so burn away from smart bombs and load long range ammo.... you're MUCH faster in scram range

-- Over slingshotting

slingshotting only works on anyone using the orbit button, which is generally a bad idea regardless of your fit.

-- Damage projection Vs Tackle range margin (about the most important).

okay first of all if you're in a frig you have no issue dictating range on pretty much anything, if you're in a cruiser there is all but one weapon system that can project out to 28km. and blaster have this amazing advantage of being able to melt things like brick tanked drone boats and missile boats.

-- Kiters: Other kiters.

yeah bullshit, tracking of larger long range guns, range of smaller close guns, tackle as normally a scram spells death for these kinds of ships that don't use missiles or drones tracking on your guns, when when fight takes place outside of scram range average speeds are around 2k/s on ships that turn like a semi truck on ice... lol prop mods

-- People do fly brawlers. They are not good. Unless having high paper DPS is good.

Hmm

dual propped Ishtar
dual propped vaga
Stabber fleet
pretty much all frigs
Hull brutix
Hull ENI
Scram Strat
Thrasher
anything serpentis
RR Blaster tengu
Gank Dominx
Gank Sin
gank vexor
phoon

I have seen all of these used and I've seen all of them work very well and flew many of them.
