EVE not finding Geforce card with the latest drivers

Hi all,

So I've had his issue for a while now and lately it's been resulting in driver failures leading to BSOD.

I've got a Nvidia Geforce GTX 760m and EVE doesn't seem to recognize the gpu when I've got the latest drivers installed (347,52)
EVE works with the old drivers 333.21 but like I said this is starting to create some serious issues.

I've been into Manage 3D settings and changed the global setting to use the dedicated gpu and specifically changed the settings for EVE.

But all I get inside EVE online under the video adapter drop down menu is the integrated intel card.

Comp is an ASUS laptop running win 8.1, 64.

Please help.

Cheers in advance.

I appreciate this is an old topic, but I'm having the exact same problem with a GTX 635M and my Intel HD Graphics 4000. I somehow managed to once get it working on the GTX 635M for one play session, but I've never been able to replicate it.

I've done the same thing as the OP of forcing it to run off the dedicated graphics in the NVidia Control Panel (this was actually the response/suggested solution from a GM when I submitted a bug report), but my FPS doesn't change when I actually make it run off the Integrated in the control panel. I've also tried various other things like playing in fullscreen, rather than fullscreen windowed, using DirectX 9 rather than DirectX 11, running the client in safe mode, but none of them have worked.

Even on the lowest graphics settings, my laptop ends up running very hot as too much load is being placed on the processor; I'd like to find a fix to this to prevent damage to my laptop/burning my hand on the keyboard :P I'm not getting the same BSOD problems the OP does though, just rubbish performance.

This isn't a latest drivers thing in my experience, I've had this problem since Rubicon 1.3 was released.

Hav you got the Nvidia GPU activity app? Shows whether or not something is actually using it.

No, that's quite a good idea, I'll try it now and I'll edit this to show my results.
