Thera a few months on...what's it like?

I had originally planned on spending a good deal of time in Thera and even brought some ships out there on day 1 or 2 but have just been too busy since then to make it back.

At the time people swore up & down that it would turn out to be a Jita without concord....whatever that is.

Well in that first week there were definitely gangs just waiting for pilots to undock and I suppose in this respect it did look like Jita only the gangs weren't hiding behind highsec laws. So what has Thera shaped up to be now that they hype is gone and the reality has come into fruition?
Is it a place to make money? Mine? Build ships? How has the local economy shaped up? What's the average population? What types of pvp are most prevalent? Is exploration fun or is there even enough of it to go around?

Inquiring pilots want to know!

I know there are a few groups who get their PvP by living in Thera and jumping out of the numerous NS connections to do roams. The market seems decent; it's certainly no Jita but it's about what you'd see in a Faction Warfare or Nullsec hub.

So..imagine if you will nullsec/ lowsec station games. ITS THAT. But with no local.

If you don't live in W-Space.....your opinions are invalid.

Stationgames with no local is pretty dangerous. And besides only retards fight on a station..

Right now roaming from thera is the best in eve so many exits

+ if u wan2 seed the market you can make some decent money. figure out whats in demand

+ the pvp roams out the nulls is pretty unmatched anywhere in eve. so many exits without much effort in scanning. there are even public fleet communities that take on pilots to roam. thats honestly the coolest part of thera right there.

+ if you are UBER lazy u can even buy BMs

+ nullsec groups are using it to keep some dreads so extend their sphere of influence because of space aids changes

thats all i really know

Pretty much a place where bombers bar hang out waiting for someone dumb enough to take the bait that they can drop 30 bombs on (or wingspan as they're now called)

How about the mining and exploration? Has Theras size proven large enough to run a quick site and skidaddle before hostiles can scan you down and attack? Are the mining resources rich enough to entice ventures & prospects to hop around gathering ore at the risk of falling victim to these same bloodthirsty hostiles?

not really its still VERY easy to combat scan despite its large size.

Thera is not the place for mining and combat sites. The last time I was in system there combat probes everywhere and I"m sure at least some of the people hunting there had the gas sites all scanned down in preparation. You might be able to ninja some resources but there are plenty of other wormholes out there that are safer for that.

Most wormholers get their kills from Nullsec space anyways; Thera has tons of connections all over Nullsec, and you can base out of 1 of 4 stations instead of trying to live out of a POS. For that, it's pretty cool.

I don't know what you're accusing me of, sir, but please refrain from throwing out baseless accusations or I will be forced to involve the mods.

Thera is meh ... I dont like it. and now that i've kept the thread on topic:

Garr Khan,

A corp thief is a thief ... mods or no mods. Enjoy your new mantle. You've earned it and everyone knows it. If your skin is too thin to handle it you should have considered a different career path.

No one cared when it was Goons...

edit: Just bought a monocle with part of my earnings. I'm eyeing a Greatcoat, but I'm not sure if I want to shell out 16b for one.

yes null sec fuckery of this sort happens all the time. Hell Aura Ikku did pretty much the same thing and nobody gives a **** now, but wspace is a different culture. I don't suspect you will live this down any time in the near future. The story is on your evewho profile so anyone doing intel on you that didn't know will know.

Umm no one in relevant space (Sov Nullsec) cares what goes on in Wormholes. It's God's blind spot.
