I think he is on about the skills rather than looks...

I would first work on your core skills so you have less issues fitting,

things such as your engineering skills for PvP
electronic skills
gunnery skills ( for selected weapons)
navigation skills
cybernetics to atleast 3
tanking skills (armour or shield depending what ships you wish to fly and also this ties in with what weapons to train)
Drones - everyone needs drones
ship skills (for desired ship)
targetting skills

If you wish to mine... get your mining skills up obviously aswell as your exhumer skills and crystal skills...

Not enough electronics skills. Get all of them that you can train to level 1. Get your fitting skills up (power grid management and weapons upgrades), and put some more sp into various navigation skills. After that you can go for Thermodynamics. This stuff should take you a week or two at most.
