Space. Space never changes.

Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first lifted their eyes to the heaven and saw the small dots in the night sky, and drew lines between the dots like a cosmic paint by numbers, space has been captured in human imagination like nothing else.

After millennia of being locked to one planet, humanity finally ascended from the gravity well and reached the stars, and as humanity is wont to do it unleashed its destructive nature upon the heavens.

But it was not, as some had predicted, the beginning of an utopia. Instead, utopia came to look much like all that had passed before with masters and slaves and middle men. For man had succeeded in conquering the stars - but space, space never changes.

In the early days of New Eden, thousands were bound to the land of new planets and new worlds, toiling in the dirt like their ancestors had done for millennia before them. But when capsuleer technology emerged, some of them slipped through the cracks and ascended not only to the stars but also to near god-hood.

And the rage of injustice burned in them, weighed down by hundreds and thousands of years of being oppressed. Supreme executive power, they reasoned, could not reside with a watery tart in Amarr.

Objecting to being automatically treated as inferiors, the peasants set out among the stars to oppose the violence inherent in the system, and started to invite likeminded to join them in an anarcho syndicalist commune.

The few, the happy few, the band of peasants - for he today that sheds their blood with them shall be their brother. This day shall gentle their condition, and genlemen of New Eden shall think themselves accursed they were not there.
