Serpentis vessel with unknown hull composition?

I was wondering if we could get any further information regarding the details of a feed from the most recent Scope report 'Jackdaw'?

The feed said "Caldari Navy Forces sighted towing Serpentis vessel with unknown hull composition and markings into Gravdock at Tamo Propel Dynamics Factory"

That's a teaser leading to the official announcement for the Gallente Tactical Destroyer, "Hecate", which will follow the Caldari Tactical Destroyer, "Jackdaw", as seen in the Scope news bulletin.

d'Astres, you do seem to be implying that either the Serpentis are assisting in design work for the Federation, or that the Caldari Navy is unable to identify Federal vessels as federal.

Given that mention of a prototype Gallente vessel follows, this could very well be a sighting of an as-yet-unknown ship. Considering what we know of Serpentis experimentation with advanced warp technology in the Syndicate region, I wouldn't be surprised if proof-of-concept warp technology was on a ship of unknown configuration. Consider the Syndicate's recently-released yacht design, or the Sister's success with warp-and-cloak interfacing on their exploratory vessels.

Sorry about the confusion, what was being towed in was a pet project of mine. I'm trying to fit a doomsday on a destroyer class vessel, it's not going well.... on the upside, I think I may have actually made a capital sized smart bomb!

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.

The ship was a prototype which was created by Gallente and redesigned by Angel Cartel to specifications supplied by Serpentis, the vessel was a flagship drug smuggling ship, unfortunately this vessel was seized during a smuggling operation to empire space when a vital onboard system malfunctioned.

That's an insult to the ship. Look at her, she's looks just like a Flying Fortress from the historical dramas you watch on the old films channel. She's meant to ruin someone's day with live ammunition.

offensive/defensive systems are still currently being researched for this vessel, this operation was to test the propulsion capabilities of the ship. as with everything Angel & Serpentis it will be awesome once development has been completed

i agree and makes me think more about the situation as to if this was all just a set up to gain this technology we have been researching for so long, i think an internal investigation should be held into how this ship actually got captured.

i never did trust that test pilot...
