Yeah I know not a super important topics but there are some parts of EVE space where I feel like I'm in the red light district with all the cans and signs with advertisements. Do these actually work in recruiting people?

Probably yes, every once in a while.

Can't wait for the new stations with crappy corp advertisements everywhere though :D

They are also good ways to become war targets.

Generally I'd say that if it doesn't work,
it's not being done.

Same for scams.
If there weren't idi... people who fell for them,
no one would even try.

Also they are used as messages. Like about Phil,
who no one seems to know but there are lots of cans and depots and stuff
in and around Hek with his name on it.

Bobs second cousin twice removed?

I occasionally see cans advertising RL religion based chat channels, I've taken to dropping cans close to them that advertise the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, may we be blessed by his noodly appendages.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Hey hey hey Bob is as real as it gets,
even mentioned in Scope videos on youtube... ;)

As well as the Church of the flying spaghetti monster.

Fun fact... we have an Austrian citizen who played the laws
by mentioning it as his religion ... and thus he was allowed to wear a ...
... uhm ... weird hat ... on his passport pictures. xD

I think they are called Pastafari... but maybe I'm mistaken. xD

^^ You're right, followers of the FSM are Pastafarians. I've seen the pics of the Austrian guys driving licence, there's a guy in the Czech Republic who wore the strainer of the holy pasta for his driving licence photo too.

I've seen that too.

I remember seeing someone make a character named "Totally NotJudas" to join a Christian corp and start shooting his new corpmates. I laughed enough that I sent them 30 ISK with the comment "Here's your silver".

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com
